The scent smells weird but it absorbs quickly, and the skin feels soft.
The first thing I noticed is that it absorbs quite quickly. Within a few minutes, I could see that my skin looked better, was no longer dry, and felt soft and smooth. Even if I don’t use lotion before applying the serum, my skin seems to get rid of its dry state. Skin feels a little brighter after use. And use only a few drops per day. Then again, I did not notice a reduction in pigmentation and blemishes on my skin. But the skin does look more radiant than before. And it didn't cause any irritation to my skin, not at all. I’ve been having some redness on my cheeks lately and I’ve been using this serum, and I’ve noticed a reduction in the redness over time. But as other reviewers have described, the scent can smell weird and may not be palatable to some people.I would say if someone doesn’t mind its smell and the price is acceptable, this serum could be a good skincare product as it does give a radiant and smooth look to the skin based on my experience.

Smells awful
Too much money spent for something I am embarrassed to put on due to the smell.

Absorbs quickly, treated area feels pretty soft, however, the serum's scent... :(
I believe this serum carries really good ingredients. I have a bunch of freckles under my eye area, and I am very excited to try this serum on my freckles. The serum has a yellow oil type of texture and once applied, it gets absorbed very quickly onto my skin, and the treated area feels pretty soft when touching. However, I have big trouble to feel comfortable to the scent of this serum. I usually don't complain about the scent of skin care products, but this serum's scent is way out of my tolerance. I am actually wondering if I accidentally received a bad batch...the scent smells like rotten fish skin to me and it is pretty strong. It lingers long also. I applied the serum last night before bed time, this morning after I wake up, I can still smell the scent.I am not sure if I am able to give more trials on this serum due to the scent...If I do, I will come back to update my review about the improvement this serum brings to my skin. And BTW, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should not use this product. You can check my 2nd photo, this caution is clearly printed on the back of the box.

A little goes a long way
A little goes a long way with this product. That makes me feel a little better about the price. While it states that it is fragrance free, it does have an initial smell. If you can tolerate it for a few minutes, it will go away. This product should protect your skin from pollution, which is a huge plus. I also love that it does not have any fragrance, which I tend to be allergic to, or preservatives. As with all skincare, I won't know how well this works until I use it for a couple of months. However, I look forward to less sunspots and hopefully younger looking skin.

Not an instant fix but time will tell
Mela Bright [C+] Serum is designed to help protect the skin barrier, brighten and balance skin tone, help prevent wrinkles, and diminish age and sun related dark spots. Like all such products this is a process that can takes months to see any visible changes, so be prepared to give it time to work. The serum comes in an opaque glass vial with a dropper top to dispense the oil. The suggested use is twice per day on affected areas, and it warns that pregnant or breast-feeding women shouldn't use it. The serum has a yellowish appearance and a slightly sulfuric aroma that (thankfully) dissipates fairly quickly. This serum takes quite a while to absorb into my skin, and after it finally does it leaves my skin feeling somewhat sticky, so for that reason this isn't something that I can use under makeup. The ingredients contain antioxidants, humectants to help retain natural skin moisture, mild exfoliants, ascorbic acid, and Cysteamine which helps improve the look of hyperpigmentation and dark patches. I recommend giving this a try, especially if you have hyperpigmentation issues, dark spots, or melasma. Just be prepared to keep up with it and give it time to work.

Burning tires?
This is one of the worst smelling skincare products I have ever experienced. It hits you as soon you open the bottle. It's not as strong after application, but it does linger. I was really tempted to wash my hands before even putting this on my skin but made myself to give a fairer review. Immediate results aren't worth it ($149!). It doesn't brighten skin any more than other vitamin C serums, and it leaves skin slightly tacky. It has an angled bulb dropper, and did come in a sealed box. I'm not even sure I feel good about giving this away.

Remarkably effective, worth the price and smell
The media could not be loaded. I prefer unscented skincare products. In this case, I got what I asked for. Yes, the smell is unpleasant, but completely worth it for the results, and it fades after a few minutes. I am even less happy about having to wait ten minutes between cleansing and application, but again, the results are remarkable and are noticble in a just a few weeks! I'm also not looking forward to repurchasing @ $145, but I’ve wasted so much money on ineffective skincare that I’d be an idiot not to, and since you only use 5 drops at a time that won't be for a while. I 100% recommend this product.
