Perfect razor
I've been using a double edge safety razor for a few months now, and I must say, it's a game changer for my shaving routine. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Design & Build Quality: The razor has a sleek and solid design. The handle is ergonomic, providing a comfortable grip, which is essential for control during shaving. The material feels premium, with many models having brass or stainless steel construction, ensuring durability. The weight is perfectly balanced, making it easy to maneuver across the face. Shaving Experience: The shave is incredibly close and smooth. Unlike multi-blade razors, the double edge razor allows for a more traditional, precise shave. The razor glides over the skin with ease, cutting through facial hair without tugging or irritation. I've found that with proper technique, I get far fewer nicks and cuts compared to other razors. It’s also fantastic for those with sensitive skin, as it minimizes razor burn. Cost-Effective: While the initial investment might be higher than a disposable razor, replacement razor blades are inexpensive. A pack of blades lasts a long time, making it a cost-effective option in the long run. Plus, you don’t have to worry about the environmental impact of disposable razors since double-edge razor blades are recyclable. Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining the razor is straightforward. After each use, a quick rinse and wipe keep it in top shape. The blade replacement is simple, and I appreciate the longevity of the blades, as I only need to change them every few weeks depending on how often I shave. Overall Verdict: The double edge safety razor offers a luxurious, close shave with minimal irritation. It’s an eco-friendly, cost-effective solution for anyone looking to upgrade their shaving routine. Whether you’re a shaving enthusiast or just looking for a better, more sustainable option, this razor is definitely worth trying. Highly recommended!

Best razor I’ve used
I’m a woman with thick hair and buying this razor was the best decision I’ve made. It cuts close to the root, often not needing a run over, and lasts a long time. Ladies these “woman razors” are out and these safety razors are in

The design is straightforward and user-friendly, making it perfect for both beginners and seasoned shavers alike. More people need one of these
The price for this razor is great! It works really well and its super easy to setup. I find that having just one razor gives me a better shave too. Also it comes with a pack of razors which I think is such a generous thing given the price. Recommended this to my brother.

Cheaply made and broke after two months
This is not a good razor period because it is cheap and will inevitably break, but beyond that it is certainly not a good beginner razor for men. It is quite aggressive so you have to ge very slowly and carefully not cut yourself really badly. The tolerances on this thing are also very sloppy, so you have to painstakingly adjust the blade every time you put in a new blade before tightening it to get something approximating an even blade reveal. Otherwise, you will cut yourself even worse for sure. I got a new razor after this one broke and it's just a cheap, basic butterfly razor and it's way better in every way because I feel like I have much better control and don't have to make these microadjustments to the blade reveal or anything. It just works. What else is there to say? For some reason I can't upload pictures I have of the broken razor, but rest assured the thing broke after only two months of use (I was only shaving every two or three days as well by the way). The screw that is attached to the top cap and screws into the handle simply broke off as I was screwing it in. I guess you have to be really careful so as to not overtighten it or the thing will break (I was hardly putting any torque on it, to be sure), but at the same time make sure you tighten it enough so it doesn't come loose as you're shaving. This hunk of junk made me irate enough to write this review when I've never written a review for anything I've bought on Amazon before. I have no idea how this became a beset seller besides the cheap price point and I guess being able to market it to both men and women. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. You are not saving money by buying this thing. You're going to have to replace it later anyway, sooner rather than later most likely. Spend the extra $5-10 to get something a little more expensive and it will be of way higher quality that should actually last. It doesn't have to be something extravagant, just a practical, cheap workhorse razor. This is not what you're looking for.

It's perfect.
So, I hadn't shaved in over a decade. I made a mistake with the clippers one day and had to shave. All I had available to me were my wife's pink disposable razors. I used one, but needed something manly after deciding to keep my new, young appearance. I ordered a straight razor because I always thought they were cool. It was cool, but I got tired of bleeding. So, I found this. I LOVE everything about this razor. The double sidedness of it is amazing. The style and appearance are just beautiful. The handle is perfect to grip. I'm considering getting one for our oldest boy soon. I can't recommend this razor enough.

Ok, but could be better
Overall it's pretty good for what it does. If you want a cheap safety razor to learn how to use this is a worthwhile pick. Where the cons of this are comes from the design. A lot of other razors on the market (for similar prices) use a different design where you twist the bottom to open up the top (compared to here where you screw the whole thing off). This makes it easier as you only need to drop in a new blade and don't have to worry about re-attaching the whole thing and risking cutting yourself. The blades it comes with though are pretty good and get the job done very well. After it's used any alternative de blade can be used as well which is a plus.

Who knew these things were so much better?
OK, I remember when it happened. My father went electric. THEN he went back to a safety razor. THEN they came out with these blue disposables. Cost a little more but you didn't have to worry about leaving them on trips and as a high school coach/score keeper, that happened. BUT THEN things started getting crazy. We'd REALLY appreciate one in Pink. It'll cost more lady. I don't care, I'm feminine. They, kinda forgot they asked for it. THEN hey, it has a comfort strip. You know what works better then one blade? TWO. The first blade pulls the hair a bit and the second one cuts it just under the skin, where it can get infected. Well shoot, if 2 is good, more is better. And more. AND MORE. Now I had a razor with 5 blades and two on the top side to "Trim" with. What that usually ended up doing is every 3rd or 4th shave I'd end up slicing right under my nose with that stinking TRIM blade. And cutting my ear. Plus, sometimes I wasn't shaving at all. One stroke and that mass of 5 blades would be jammed with a carpet of hair AND IT WOULND'T COME OUT!!!!. Last month I got tired of it. There are many offerings, kits etc that you can get on Amazon and I say, shop at your own desire. There are top loaders side loaders, lotsa different options. I've used this one for a month now. Same blade as a matter of fact. No nicks, no oops, no problems with shavings stuffed under or in between blades. No opening of the top loader (you see, if I remember right, if you twist the bottom the blade top opens and that can just be a hassle while shaving. But you're probably not as clumsy as I am. Can you shave everywhere with this? YES, but lets just look at my head. First it was no shave November. I know, "You said you used it for a month!" calm down. My facial hair if it gets showing just turns into pins that when I bump into it like rubbing my nose, it jams those hairs into my skin like a pin. Don't know why, I had a beard and mustache once upon a time but my hair just doesn't get that long. SO we look at my head hair. That's all I had after a month. I used clippers to get it down and then shaved it. One pass up, One pass down. Done. Every other day trimming on my face for similar effects. One blade, over a month of cuts. You can buy 15 replacement blades for 5 bucks. Whats the price of a 5 blade refill? 4 for 15 bucks? NOW, if only we can get those medicine cabinets with the blade disposal in the back of it again. Be careful remodeling one of those bathrooms!
