I have really enjoyed using this heavy duty foldable drainer, it’s really easy to use and durable. When I purchased this drainer I wasn’t sure if the drainer would big or small, but it’s the perfect size for me, it’s easy to grip and fluids drain off easy. The foldable drainer is worth money .

Some years back I was a beautiful collapsible colander with polished steel handle/ring and red silicon basket. It was wonderfully made, and lovely to look at. And, it was terrible. See, they forgot one important detail. Feet. The thing sat flush on the surface. So, not only are the bottom drain holes rendered mostly useless, but whatever the heck might be in your sink gets to mix with your food as you empty your pasta or rinse your salad. This might not be as beautiful, but it's a fraction of the cost and it works well. It's heavy and wide enough that it won't tilt over, and the holes are well designed and placed. It's solidly constructed, cleans in a snap and folds relatively flat - though it could be flatter. The hard plastic insert at the bottom along with the feet add a bit of depth, but it still folds flat enough to toss into a drawer and share the space with other utensils. Pros: - inexpensive - good shape - solid - durable - stable - compact - folds easily - feet raise it well up - drains well - cleans easily Cons: - more attractive color than gray would be nice - not super shallow when folded The gray isn't exactly the nicest color I suppose, but honestly it's not something I put on display (the polished steel looked great hanging) or sit and admire. I've been on an Amazon losing streak lately, it's nice to buy something that does everything it should and more. There's no shortage of similar products, that's certain. But, if you want to stop looking now, you can't go wrong. A solid 4.5 stars rounded up.

Boy was I surprised with the quality of this food strainer! I expected a metal strainer like my Mom used. Instead I got a top of the line beauty made out of a very sturdy, good looking material. We have used it and find it to be very well made and very functional. It cleans easily and since it collapses it stores easily on the shelf. This is a recommended purchase for others.

I was worried about buying the colander since I could only see a picture. Ordered it any way. Glad I did. This is a great colander. Large enough, well made, easy to clean and the price was great. Love that it collapses and takes up a lot less room to store.

This strainer is just what we needed. It is a good size and expands and folds perfectly. I hope it lasts for quite some time.

Very nice to go with my collapsible dish tub. Perfect for draining pasta or vegetables from a boiling pot. With the hot water, I can feel the rubber seem to soften a bit, but the contents are secure. Do not drain small foods as grains/legumes, etc as orzo, rice, barley, quinoa, lentils, split peas, red beans, etc as this colander has huge drain holes. In fact the holes are angled/tapered which allow small foods to slide right through. Luckily I drained just a bit of Basmati rice and 1/2 of them ended up in the sink. That's the only drawback for this colander. But I love this for use in camping as storage space is critical.

I am so glad that I bought this collapsible colander. We make make pasta 5+ times a week, and we love using this colander to drain it after cooking. It is roomy enough to hold an entire 16 ounce box of cooked pasta, with plenty of room left over. It collapses very easily which makes it so much easier to store. Dishwasher safe with no problems. We love using it.

Great addition to our tiny house! While We have space for a “regular” colander, have space-saving items just makes sense. Holds up, cleans easily and collapses as it is designed to. Would totally purchase again!

Nice colander for fruits and veggies that saves room in cupboard. Was looking for a large one and this one is ok though still looking for a bit larger one. Only gave three stars because used it last I night for pasta and realized holes are too big and lost pasta down the drain as they slid out of holes. It may depend on type of pasta being strained but didn’t want to have two separate ones but one for everything.
