Nongard is awesome, but...
Well Pat, I'd like to buy an "n" please.I have two books by Dr. Nongard and both are great. Unfortunately both are filled with editing errors that should have been fixed. This one misspells "pattern" every time the word is used including the cover. I suspect it was a find/replace mistake but it is annoying. Otherwise 5 stars.Once you come to terms with that, the book is very very good just like his videos. I highly recommend this and I have found it helpful as a new student of hypnosis.Easy to read (despite the "patter" throughout) and easier to apply. I wish he lived close by so I could attend a seminar!

Practical and useful
Excellent book with no nonsense ideas and words and phrasing for how to handle various situations during session work. Specific situations are addressed and patter provided for the reader. You don't have to reinvent the wheel as Nongard provides the 'right words' for you. I've put some of these into a three ring binder I can quickly refer to if and when the need arises. If you've ever wondered what to say if 'X' comes up, this is the book for you. It fills in some of the 'how do I say that' blanks that your hypnosis and hypnotherapy training probably do not. For example, how do you ask for payment without sounding harsh or overbearing? Nongard explains how in the book and gives the reader a template with verbiage to utilize. It's a great resource.

... first 60% of the book (per my Kindle) was excellent information about how to conduct a hypnosis session
The first 60% of the book (per my Kindle) was excellent information about how to conduct a hypnosis session. The "Sourcebook" section, the reason I bought the book, was the last 1/3 of the book. I am only giving this 3 stars because I feel the title was somewhat misleading. Sorry for the poor review, but I was disappointed.

Not one of my favorite hypnosis books
Not one of my favorite hypnosis books. Probably be well suited to a beginner, though, to help explain the type of wording a hynotherapist needs to understand. The company that sold it to me delivered it very quickly, and it was in perfect shape when I received it.

Excellent book
Magic Words in Hypnosis is an exceptionally good book. Easy to read. To the point. Very practical. With great and real tips that are the product of the experience of Richard Nongard. A must for any hypnotherapist.
