Ich habe die Waage für eine alte Person gekauft, die in ihrer Mobilität eingeschränkt ist. Die letzte Waage hat das Problem, dass sie einfach zu schnell wieder abgeschaltet hat, bevor die Person richtig drauf stand. Diese Waage von Seca hebt sich deutlich von denen ab, die ich bisher im Laden angeschaut, bzw. schon in der Vergangenheit gekauft habe. Sie ist richtig groß und wirkt ausreichend robust. Von unten sieht sie ähnlich aus wie andere Waagen - Kunststoff und 4 Sensorfüße. Es werden 4 AAA Batterien benötigt, die im Lieferumfang enthalten sind. Mal was neues ist die Step-OFF Funktion. Gerade alte Menschen tun sich manchmal bei anderen Waagen schwer mit dem Einschalten per Taste am Rand (per Fußspitze) oder durch Antippen der Oberseite. Die Seca kann es klassisch mit antippen der Wiegefläche - warten - und dann draufstehen (Sich selbst abschalten tut sie erst nach ca. 1 min). Die Step-OFF Funktion ist jedoch noch besser. Einfach im ausgeschalteten Zustand draufstehen. Die Waage schält sich ein - braucht ein paar Sekunden - dann erscheint im Display "Step off". Wenn man dann wieder runtersteigt wird hinterher das Gewicht angezeigt. Der Hersteller wirbt damit, dass diese Wiegemethode genauer ist. Ich finde es einfach praktisch, weil man die Waage nicht einschalten und warten muss, bis sie sich tariert hat. Fazit: Wenn die Waage die nächsten Jahre einwandfrei funktioniert, dann dann kann ich nur sagen: Top für das Geld!
