Speedo Women's PowerFLEX Eco High-Waist Bottom with Core Compression Swimsuit

After accidentally losing 18 pounds (long story), I decided to try a two piece performance swim suit as a triathlete. Training sessions often include brick workouts in two or more events per session, and sometimes you don't need the "diaper" bulk of a bike chamois to protect the lady bits.Women seem to worry about three things when it comes to bikini bottoms: 1) Does it make my butt look fat? 2) Does it stay put when I swim or emerge from the water like a slow-moving beluga whale, 3)Does it give me Camel Toe? If you don't know what camel toe is, it is that outline of one's southern lips that makes people stare at your crotch as if you actually invented the first set of vaginal lips EVER. It makes you more popular than Google Glass. And I would know, since I own a unit of Google Glass.Speedo's active high waist bottom covers all three issues well, no pun intended. The compression fabric fits snugly without squishing your upper thigh area; it stays put when you swim (I even swam with fins for an extra speed test), and I did a mirror check for the Camel Toe pre and post swim. No Camel Toe whatsoever, and no slipping or bunching around previously-mentioned vag area. Bonus: the full-coverage style of the high waist instead of a bikini bottom gives even conservative women a little extra coverage. You could easily use these as dance pants under a skirt, go salsa dancing, and flash your legs without worrying what might show up on Social Media the next day. A second bonus: You can wear a wetsuit on top of this, and when you quickly strip the wetsuit off, the bottoms stay put without any bunching, puckering, or shifting.On a more serious note, I could have actually gone for the size 4 and still had a good fit. But with the compression fabric, it may make some sense to order your most natural size, in that while exercising and racing, you're usually hydrating and adding some electrolytes to your diet that make you fill out the suit bottom a bit more. If you are a serious runner who swims for recovery, I'd go with the smaller size. Likely, I'll have two pairs of these by the end of the season, just because our bodies fluctuate across a typical race season.

I am 5'6" and 115ish pounds, and thanks to years of track and field, I am well-endowed in my glutes. Finding swimsuits that actually cover my entire posterior is a legitimate struggle that usually ends with me being close to tears of frustration (why, why, WHY does the current fashion have to be half the a$$ hanging out?!?!). For all women out there with a similar struggle, look no further. This swimsuit offers complete coverage without slippage when romping around on land and in the water. Whether you're constantly pulling yourself in and out of the water or playing beach volleyball, nothing falls out of place. The elastic was a little tight at first and created a tiny muffin-top, but after a few wears, it loosened up a little and made for the perfect swimsuit for 4 years. As soon as this comes back in stock, I'm going to buy a couple pairs to have on hand. I absolutely recommend this product if you're looking for full coverage that will remain in place no matter what you're doing.

I like that Speedo has started selling separates for their two-piece bathing suits for better fit. After all, we aren't all the same size above the waist as we are below it. This high-waist bottom gives better coverage than a bikini, yet still looks like it could be one when I wear it with my tankini top. It fits true to size.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

I have no complaints! I wanted a simple black bottom to go with my tankini top and these work great. I had no issues with it riding up and gives me good coverage without it looking like i'm wearing my grandmas bottoms. They are high enough on my stomach to prevent my belly from falling over the sides. I am 5'2" and weigh 140lbs and ordered a size 8 and it fits great (I recently had a baby so carry a little extra on my stomach). I think even after I lose the baby weight these will fit great.

Nice, slim fit. This is worn usually under my swim shorts and it lasts quite a while. I've worn my first for over a year (I swim in an indoor pool every week) and I noticed it started stretching and thinning a bit. It lasted far longer than any other product I had tried. I'll keep coming back whenever current one needs replacement. Very comfortable and flattering fit!

This would have been perfect if it were more blue & less purple. Iris, when used as a color descriptions can be so tricky! I've seen colors described as "Iris" range from a very light pinkish purple to a very deep almost navy color. Even it it were the exact color as the flower, it would be difficult as even those range in various shade depths. Unfortunately, when seeing an item on a computer or touchpad screen, it's very difficult to gauge the depth of the color until you see it materialized. This particular bottom was brighter & purpler then what it looked like on my iPad. The cut & fit were wonderful and if it's the same quality as the Speedos I've had in the past, I imagine it would be able to hold up to almost anything and last almost infinitely if properly cared for - mine did & they weren't always properly cared for!

I was a bit nervous buying these, because I've rarely had good luck with swim bottoms. I currently wear size 6 in jeans, so I thought I'd buy these bottoms in size 8. I was actually surprised how well they fit--I like full coverage that stays put & doesn't ride up, & these fit the bill. I did, however, think the size 8 was a bit loose in the back, so I then ordered a size 6, which was overall perfect. I'm actually going to be ordering a second pair, to keep as a "spare". (And my sister ended up keeping the size 8 ones, which she liked.)

I was looking for a swim bottom that covered everything and was comfortable and certainly this one fits the bill. I prefer a little more coverage as I'm a mom and no one really wants their moms butt cheeks hanging out at the pool or lake. This covers and sits a little higher than the low cut ones made for teens and stick figure women. It's well constructed and stays in place.
