Gothic Long Sateen Corset Skirt. Sizes 6-26

First of all, I am giving this 4 stars to start. Let me explain.I ordered this product on 4/14. I live in northeastern USA. I received this product on 4/23. Super quick. Upon opening the package the first thing that I noticed is the weight and quality of the fabric. It isn't chintzy. Its actually quite nice. I also sent the company an email directly, asking questions regarding the skirt itself, how it works, sizing suggestions and if they had better estimates on shipping. They answered every email quickly and effectively. So, based on the speed of receiving the item and how I was treated by the company... 4 stars is a good start.I will say that I generally wear a ladies US 14 (a lose, comfortable fit). I got nervous when I read about the waist not having any give to it. I ordered a 14/16 to be on the safe side (I can fix big... Harder to fix too small). It fit perfectly. (Thanks to the suggestion from the company).I will withhold star number 5 until I actually get to wear it to the event that I purchased it for. I am waiting for one more item (not purchased through Amazon) before I award the 5th star. If you are questioning whether or not to make this purchase... I say go for it. So far, I am very pleased, as is my husband, who insisted I try it on again to show him how it fit.

I bought this skirt to wear to a Steampunk convention because I didn't want to go in costume but wanted to wear something with a little flair. This skirt is pretty much exactly as pictured--the gathers are made with ribbon threaded through grommets-- and it falls pretty much exactly as pictured. It launders well, which was a little surprising to me, and the length on it is very nice.If you are short you may need to have it taken up a little bit. I'm 5'11" and it reached the bottom of my ankles, so if I were short I would probably order it long enough before the event that you can have it hemmed if necessary.There have been a few times that I have looked at it wistfully and thought of wearing it to work, but as beautiful as it is, it still looks too much like a costume piece for me to wear around for general purpose. For those of you that are more adventurous or work in the creative field, however, it is nice enough to wear anyplace!

I bought this item like many people for a Halloween costume. I gave it a four star because although the hips fit fine, the waist is too large. However, there are darts and it can be taken in. Also, I have a small waist compared to my hips so finding something that fits me perfectly is impossible!I will also say that I am a photographer. As such, I'm very picky about how things look. I would easily use this in a photoshoot. The material is beautiful and the quality is very nice as well.This is a very classy skirt! I can imagine wearing it for other occasions besides in a photoshoot or for Halloween. The estimated delivery date was roughly 3 weeks but I received this in less than a week. So very fast shipping as well.This skirt is more than I ever hoped for!

It's not easy to find long, black, Victorian skirts (in my experience), unless I visit Amazon. I was lucky to find this, and at the price I did. This is sateen, so it's a sort of shiny and slightly thin material, (though not see through at all), and nice for warmish weather. I do have a very high view of Victorian fashion, with a mix of goth, of course, so this is absolutely perfect for my taste. It fits perfectly, which is pretty awesome, because sometimes it's so hard to guess your size ordering online. It's a floor length, thankfully,(I hate showing my legs). The front is slightly raised, but it still covers everything--very appropriate of that time frame. It's hand wash and drip dry, which I usually don't pay mind to, but, this skirt feels like I should follow instructions. I haven't tried machine washing, although tempted. I highly recommend this skirt if you like how it looks in the photo, though it will look even better on. Isn't that what we want? :)

I always worry that clothes won't fit the way they say they will. I am plus sized, and I ordered my normal trouser size (it seems dress size and jeans size are each completely different from my trouser size). When I got the package - earlier than expected - I immediately tried it on and was delighted that it fit like a glove! The skirt is made of great material and is tailored well - has a kind of a shiny satin like finish and breathes just fine. It is something I bought for a costume, but I will definitely wear it as a normal wardrobe piece. Worth the money I spent! Just make sure to order the largest size you would typically wear, or pay very close attention to your measurements. This thing doesn't stretch at all. I would definitely order from this company again!

I bought this to wear as part of my pre-ceremony Steampunk Carnival Wedding attire & love it! After the wedding, I was able to reuse it for my Halloween costume: a victorian school teacher.It's so comfortable & the ties on the sides allow you to create that perfectly bunched style & length you desire.I went up a size (which turned out to be unnecessary) because my hips are wide, and wanted to be sure this would be comfortable. Because of this, everything was a bit loose, especially the waist, however I was able to pull it down & bunched it just right so it looked & felt great.The color is a beautiful deep wine and the ties are black satin.Unfortunately I don't trust putting it in the washing machine, even on delicate nor do I dare hand-wash- so it's dry clean only.Again, LOVE this skirt!~Amanda

ok firstly this skirt is gorgeous and very well made, the fit is a little on the small size but that's because I'm a size 16 and they only do a 14/16 or and 18. the 18 would definitely have been too large. this size fits well on the waist but the hips are a little snug. id have liked to have seen a 16/18 offered.the length however is really long, I had read somewhere that once you adjust the front it would be ok, but I found that even at the max adjusted the back still drags on the ground. I spent the weekend adding more eyelets along the adjusting ribbons and re-lacing, so I now have 3 sets of adjusters instead of the 2 and this has so far been ok. im toying with taking the hem up a couple of inches to make sure but again , its time consuming.so if you are short ( im 5'2") be prepared to wear heels.

I bought this to go with a long black military coat for a winter wedding.It's actually a million times more fabulous than I expected.Rich lush material and lots of it. Well finished, eyelets well finished & smooth, ribbons are high quality.It moves beautifully, drapes elegantly and the waist is really nicely shaped and figure flattering.This is a truly beautiful skirt that is not done justice by the photographs.I'm thrilled to bits that I risked ordering this.I bought the burgundy colour.This is a garment that I will not be putting into the wardrobe and forgetting about after the wedding.

This skirt was worth every penny. Fits beautifully, lots of fabric gives it a really full look. Quite heavy but to be expected. Easy to gather at the front with the ribbons to get a completely different look. For a gothic, victorian or steampunk look this skirt will work for you.

The skirt fits perfectly and feels like it belongs on me. The adjustable ties on the front can be altered individually or together to make a different look.
