Rock Solid After Years of Heavy Use
I’m the kind of person who really digs into research before buying anything. Big or small, I spend hours (sometimes days) looking up reviews, videos, comparisons — basically everything I can find — because if I’m spending my money, I want to know I’m getting something that’s going to meet (or beat) my expectations. If you're here reading reviews, you’re probably doing the same thing too, and honestly, I respect it. I also want to be upfront: I would never leave a review that wasn’t 100% honest. I picked up the Pulsefire Haste 2 (wired) about three years ago, and it’s been my daily driver ever since. Quick heads-up: the scroll wheel sensor did break on me once, but HyperX support was super easy to deal with. I reached out, explained the issue, and they had a replacement in my hands February of last year. Whole process was smooth and fast, which made me trust the brand even more. For some background, I’m an avid gamer — and even though it’s probably not the healthiest lifestyle, I spend 8+ hours a day gaming (plus even more time just on the computer in general). So when I say this mouse gets hammered with daily use, I’m not kidding. One thing that was a huge factor for me was the shape. I knew from using previous mice — and spending way too long trying out different models in stores like Best Buy — that this general shape just fits my hand the best. I use a palm grip, but honestly, with the way this mouse is designed, I could see it being super comfortable for claw and fingertip grip players too. Seriously though, if you’re in the market, do yourself a favor and figure out what mouse shape fits your hand and grip style best. It makes a massive difference in comfort, especially over long sessions. As far as how it’s held up: the clicks feel exactly the same as the day I pulled it out of the box. No mushiness, no weird double-click issues, no drop in performance at all. The mouse itself honestly still looks almost brand new too — aside from a little bit of "gamer gunk" that occasionally builds up on the mouse buttons (it happens, let’s be real), it’s in fantastic shape. The weight and glide are perfect for me. It’s light enough to move effortlessly across my cloth mousepad, but not so light that it feels floaty or hard to control. It’s a perfect middle ground. The build quality overall is great — no rattling, no creaks, and the flexible cable stays out of the way most of the time. In terms of performance, the sensor feels extremely precise — super responsive with no weird acceleration or tracking issues. Whether I’m flicking fast in shooters or making small adjustments in slower games, it’s consistent and reliable every single time. That said, even though I highly recommend the wired version (and it’s been amazing for me), if I were buying it again today, I’d probably go for the wireless version. If your desk gets a little cluttered, or if you have a monitor with big stand legs like I do, sometimes the cable can bump into stuff or catch slightly and give a tiny bit of resistance. It’s not a deal breaker at all, but it’s something to think about if you want the smoothest possible experience. Bottom line: If you're looking for a reliable, well-built mouse that can handle heavy daily use and still perform like new, the Pulsefire Haste 2 is 100% worth it. It’s been a total workhorse for me, and for the price, I’d definitely recommend it without any hesitation.

Too good for the price
Top tier mouse that competes with top of the line products. HyperX has a gem of a mouse I owned the original haste and the haste 2 is a great upgrade build quality is solid. The ttc switches on the mouse buttons are light and spammable. The 8k polling is great. I have only one issue and that’s the scroll wheel started skipping steps. It doesn’t do it all the time but just something to keep in mind.

Mouse Wheel is Hot Garbage
Functionally: This is the worst mouse wheel I've ever used. 50% of the time when you scroll down on the mouse wheel, it makes the screen go up instead. I thought there was something wrong with my computer. I changed, settings, tried to update the mouse software (it already had the most current software), I cleaned the inside of the mouse with air. No change. I plugged a different mouse in, and no problem. The problem is the mouse wheel. It does NOT work properly. UPDATE: If you apply some pressure to the mouse wheel and scroll slowly, it works properly 75% of the time instead of only 50% of the time. Still a terribly designed mouse wheel. Also, it is only a few months old and the cloth cord is curling up right where it comes out of the mouse - I have never curled, pinched or stretched it.

Ultra-Light, Super Precise — A Gamer’s Dream Mouse
The HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 is hands-down one of the best wired mice I’ve used. It’s insanely lightweight without feeling cheap, and the sensor is super responsive — perfect for FPS games where accuracy and quick flicks matter. Clicks are crisp, the PTFE skates glide like butter, and the grip texture feels great during long sessions. I also love that the cable is ultra-flexible and doesn’t drag or snag. No software bloat either — just clean, customizable performance. Whether you’re gaming competitively or just want a reliable, fast, and comfortable mouse, this thing delivers. HyperX absolutely nailed it with the Haste 2.

promising, but has the worst double clicking issues i've ever seen
DISCLAIMER! this is a review from someone who was looking to replace my model o that's gone bad! i'm just gonna go through some details that i think could help if you're in a similar position, but this is not a comprehensive review because i'm not qualified to do that in trying to find a mouse that was a similar shape to the one i'm familiar with i found a website called eloshapes that has a database of mouses and their shapes that you can use to compare. this mouse is a little bit shorter, it slopes down a bit harder in the front, and the sides of the buttons are a bit cramped by the sides of the mouse (in comparison to what i was used to). that being said, all of the mouses i've tried that were closer in shape to the model o had some other issue that i couldn't fix, i.e. high actuation force on the buttons & the mouse not being in stock anymore. this one is great in those regards, good actuation force and i can buy it, so i decided to help the different shape by putting an extra layer of grip tape on the front buttons. this worked surprisingly well! broadly speaking, i really like the slope of the mouse. i'm tired of nearly every popular mouse having curvature that peaks in the back half of the mouse, mainly just because it's really uncomfortable for the way i hold my mouse. this one puts the peak of the curve more in the middle. the included grip tape isn't great. i wouldn't really recommend using it as more than a template to create a piece of grip tape out of a better material. that's not the worst!!! it's about on par with all of the other cheap grip tape out there. i wouldn't get your hopes up too high for it. but it's nice that it's in there! that being said, i didn't use them like that, as i like for the grip tape to cover all of the parts of the mouse my hand touches, so i just made my own panels of grip tape. if you want to do that as well, i'd recommend using masking tape to plan the pieces, and then try to lay it flat on a piece of paper. if it won't sit flat, cut the piece into multiple smaller pieces or make a relief slit to release the pressure. the software is fine, it wasn't janky or slow or confusing to navigate. the mouse can double click, so i guess have fun if you like that and beware if you hate it. to be honest, i've found that changing how you click the mouse can either guarantee double clicking or completely prevent it from happening at all. i'm not necessarily saying it SHOULD be on the user to handle the issue, but seeing that there might not be a perfect fix that they can implement in manufacturing, it wouldn't be a bad thing to look into. also you can't change the polling rate, if you need that. THAT BEING SAID!!!!!!!!!! after using this mouse for a long time, i don't feel like i can recommend this mouse, specifically for the double clicking. i know that some people want consistent double clicking for a specific purpose, but honestly this one is completely uncontrollable. even leaving the model o at the minimum debounce time setting which would theoretically create the optimal environment for accidental double clicks, i was able to find a clicking technique in a way that meant that i would never get unintended double clicks. this one just double clicks constantly. there's no good way to control it, especially given no debounce time setting, but even if that was an option, it would be wildly inconvenient to go and flick a button whenever you want to switch back and forth. i think people who advertise this mouse as "equivalent in performance to the model o" in regards to competitive minecraft stuff are SEVERELY under-representing how intrusive this issue is, and given most people want a mouse that NEVER double clicks, it's really hard for me to recommend this anyway. i tried a lot of cheaper options and they just weren't built to the standard of quality i was looking for, and in fairness, this mouse does a lot better in a lot of aspects. it just fails at consistently and accurately tracking your mouse button presses in regards to double clicking, which is the primary point of a mouse, so i don't feel like i can really recommend this as a mouse for the vast majority of people.

Good Mouse, Confusing Sticker
I like the sound of the click, the response, and the noise that it makes. The DPI setting is also already suitable for my play style. Don't know about the durability yet. I also don't know where to put the stickers. The instructions are unclear.

Get this if you are a level 3 mouse addict like me
Let's start from the shape since that differentiates mice the most nowadays. For comparison, it has a steeper slope from the hump towards the fingers than the GPX, still very FK-3 esque. Better side buttons than most FPS mice I've tried except for the DAV3, clicks aren't optical but very clicky, however a bit stiffer than my GPX. But as how clicks get mushy and softer over time I see this as a good time. Didn't get the wireless one because I'm personally very sick and tired of charging all the gadgets I have. Cable is soft and almost non-existent. Will keep this one. Also very glad someone finally made a good looking white FPS mouse. Ngenuity software is simple and has all the features you need. I've tried numerous mice. Wrote this because I was impressed especially at this price point.
