Great character development coupled with a solid storyline

Jason Kasper is writing some of the best new action thrillers around. If you like black-ops stuff, you can’t do better than Kasper, and if you don’t like black-ops stuff, Kasper will change your thinking. Characters, plot, scene-setting, language, dialog, narrative style, level of technical detail, sense of authenticity—the books in this series are gems. At times the writing is near-literary, and the books are stone page-turners. And unlike many other authors in the genre, Kasper doesn’t burden his books with dubious, one-dimensional political takes; he leaves that crap out of it and just gives us smart, realistic-feeling, human-centered stories. Beast Three Six is the best of this series so far. I can’t wait to see how far Kasper can push the genre, he’s already very, very good, and just he keeps getting better.

This book, like the previous Shadow Strike, David Rivers, and Sky Thieves books is by far the best available via Kindle Unlimited. I can rent them for free and I still buy them.Now that Don Winslow is taking over Mitch Rapp, Kasper would be a great fit for the Jack Ryan Jr. Books.This book starts out cleaning up some loose ends from the last one and then some loose ends from the first book in the series, or even possibly the short story come back to haunt them, and takes the team to Libya, albeit in two different directions. This book introduces a new character Haas who fits in perfectly with the team, and adds an incredibly well researched CCT dynamic to the team, that added way more suspense than you would think until you read it. But I sincerely hope he becomes a permanent character.The only minor gripe, and I’m stretching here, is that I feel like in regards to David’s home life there is no arc. His wife and daughter make an appearance, some vague issues are established, but then he goes to work, and the book ends without any resolution or movement on that small aspect. I wanted to see that at the end.Anyway the book is great, if you haven’t read them, I’m jealous, because you have like 14 great books available to you.

This entry into this series was action packed with strong characters and a healthy dose of humor interspersed throughout. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

Great book. Drug on a bit during the end. But overall a good read. I highly recommend reading the book.

Brilliantly authentic tactical detail and great pace to the story. A gripping rollercoaster ride. Literally unputdownable. Possibly the best of it’s genre.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this series so far, and didn't want to put this one down. It's an action-packed ride, for sure.David was sent on a solo hostage rescue mission which turned dangerous fairly quickly. While his team were nearby, he was very much alone, having to navigate any issue that arose. Things don't always goes to plan in this series.I love the twists in these books. There's always a bigger story being told, and it's interesting seeing how it all plays out.Excited to read more of this series in the future!

Brilliant read, couldn't put it down from start to finish, would definitely recommend reading the whole series every one of the books worth reading. Can't wait to start no6.
