WE use this particular trash can in the house. My grandfather made one out of wood a long time ago and it was great but it was starting to fall apart plus, it wasn't very easy to clean and the lid was fairly heavy so you had to keep picking it up every time you wanted to place something in the trash. I read some reviews and yes, there are parts of the molding inside of the trash can that does rip the bags when pulling them out. All you have to do is get some GORILLA TAPE and tape up all the little 'moldings' after that BAM! Perfect trash can!!!!! Just flip up the lid and there is a locking mechanism which we don't use because we don't have kids that would get into it. Also, its easy to clean. Looks nice AND is really big! My grandfathers trash can held a huge amount of trash in it so looking for one that held a similar capacity was a nightmare. Not to mention a lot of them were really really expensive. This is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I cannot give it enough stars! Like I said just tape up the moldings from the inside. It is easy to assemble. Easy as 1-2-3. Also, its easy to clean. Doesn't stain. And you can spray lysol or any other cleaning product on it to keep it clean. You won't regret this purchase!

Delivered in less than 24 hours! Very Easy to put together! Great Price ! Solid, not flimsy, trash receptacle..... It has a solid bottom and I feel like should you need to, you could put a weight in the bottom to keep it from tipping over ( brick, rock, bag of sand). And the lid locks snugly! Very Attractive addition to patio, and holds 30 gallon bags! This one was for my patio, but I found it attractive enough to buy another for my kitchen area.

Purchased this 'trash bin' to put in front of our house to be used for a delivery drop off box. Similar plastic bins sold for this purchased are twice the cost, but from what I could tell, not much different than this one. Assembly went pretty smoothly, took me about 5 minutes from un-boxing to it being completely assembled; would have been faster, but some of the plastic tabs didn't snap in place smoothly and required a bit of extra oomph to make them snap in place. I took this as a good sign that the bin would not easily break apart. Once all snapped in, bin feels really sturdy. As I mentioned earlier, this bin is not going to be used for trash, but instead a delivery drop off box. Box is big enough to receive most Amazon delivery boxes, but small enough that I'm able to tuck it away behind a 'pillar' in the front porch so not to be obvious from the street. There be porch pirates out there matey. I went with a neutral color instead of the fancier design one, mainly because I wanted it to blend in with the background. What else, oh got a sign, and smart things sensor that triggers an alert when the bin is opened; for some reason, delivery folks don't like ringing our door bell when they drop stuff off. As for durability, it's only been a couple days, but I suspect it will last a while. Bin is not in direct sunlight, so the sun wont be directly baking the plastic. Bin is also under an overhang, so it should be exposed to the torrents of rain we get here in Central Florida. That not to say it wont get an sprayed on it, only that it wont be directly rained on. I'm not sure if I will anchor the bin down, it feels heavy enough that a light breeze wont tip it over, but we do get occasional strong winds from time to time. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and have no problem recommending this as an affordable solution to a front porch delivery box.

Okay out of the box, this thing has an issue. The stiffening joints for the plastic are too the inside. That is why my wife likes it because it looks nice on the outside. HOWEVER, that is not good for the functionality of the product. With debrie in the can with HEAVY liners in it they were still teary or completely hanging trying to get them out of the product due to things hanging on the stiffening material. If you filled it with leaves or something it would slide right out but if it has sticks or a bottle in it chances it it was shredding the bag coming out. SO... I know this is odd but it works okay. I went to Lowes and got floor tile and all weather anti microbial silicone.... now hear me out on this. I built up the walls a bit with plastic and sealed it in with silicone, and then added the tile to the inside held in with the silicone too. Now no mater what is in the bag it slides right out, and honestly I appreciate the extra weight the tiles added because the product was so light that sometimes taking the bags out caused it to lift and I would have to hold it down with one hand while puling out the bag. Not it just stays put. NICE> If they do a rev 2 they really need to make the inside smooth or provide a smooth liner or something.

This is our second set, 1 set at our RV site and now at our condo. Very good quality. They look good too.

I never thought I would write a trashcan review but here we are. Pro: sturdy, easy to assemble and clean, push “lock” is stable and easy to open and close with one hand, keeps smell down (vs using inside trashcan), takes regular 30 gallon liners, never had a ripped bag or animal issues (we live in Pittsburgh area and have lots of backyard animals, mammals, and insects) but it has not been an issue with this can. We also put smelly food in here vs inside. We change liner approx 1/week for trash night. Con: might be out of price range for what some people would want to pay for trash disposal but it’s totally worth it. If I’m being really picky because I love this can so much I have wish list request that they can find a way to add a compartment to store liners. We saw our neighbor use this exact one for her dog refuse outside by his dog run and we immediately purchased it for our kids diapers. We place it right outside our back door so it rarely gets wet and is easy to access from inside without having ti get dressed or put on shoes. Since we’ve transitioned to placing diapers here our home no longer smells like diapers!
