Not perfect but a very good deal for a unit with an adjustable temperature control and timer!
I think most people would be very happy with this unit as is much more reasonable priced than most units with these features. I filled all of the jars with water and measured the temperature in all jars over at various times over a period of 24 hours with an accurate digital thermometer and found very consistent temperature control at normal yogurt making temperatures as well as at the lower temperature of 98° F that I normally use. Most yogurt makers keep the temperature warmer than that so the ability to adjust the temperature myself is very important to me. I also ferment for longer than normal so the ability to adjust the ferment time is also important to me. I like this unit very much but unfortunately there are three relatively minor issues that I do not like. One is that if a temporary power outage occurs the unit will not resume operating when the power is restored. The second minor issue for me is that I find the square jars more difficult to clean than round jars. It did appear that the tray was designed for the option of round jars and round jars from another unit I have do indeed fit in this unit so perhaps that is an option the manufacturer offers. Unfortunately, readily available canning jelly jars are slightly too tall. The last issue likely will not be an issue for most people but the maximum automatic shut-off time available is 99 hours and 99 minutes and there is no override for continuous operation. That is only an issue for me because I ferment one or two jars on a continual basis and I need to remember to keep resetting the automatic shut-off time every few days to prevent it from turning off. However, I still highly recommend this unit for anyone with reliable power who just wants to make one batch of whatever you are making at a time and who does not mind square jars. Normally for this price you will only see units without and ability to adjust the temperature yourself and there will also usually be no automatic shut-off if that is important to you. I also found excessively high temperature control outside of the normally recommended yogurt fermentation temperature on the higher rated Euro Cuisine yogurt maker I also purchased recently for roughly the same price. I just gave that unit 1 star for no ability to adjust the temperature, excessive heat, and a fake timer but at least it has round glass jars that fit in this Suteck unit!

Makes perfect yogurt!
I first bought the Mueller Yogurt maker and tried many times to make yogurt with it but it never turned out well. I returned it and got the Sutek Yogurt maker. I get perfect yogurt every time! There are a few precautions to take to get perfect yogurt: (1) Heat 48 ounces of unexpired milk to 180 degrees and hold between 180 and 190 for 15 minutes to kill any bacteria. (2) Cool to 115 degrees before adding 2 TB yogurt culture. (3) I get the best results with whole milk and plain Fage yogurt for culture. (4) The factory settings- 107 degrees for 8 hours- work perfectly. (5) Pour the milk mixture into the jars and close lids, then place in yogurt maker. Once the machine turns off, let the yogurt come to room temperature before moving to the refrigerator. I start it in the afternoon and leave it overnight. (6) The instructions for starting the yogurt machine are confusing. To use the factory settings: push power button; it blinks 8:00 for hour set- push set button; it blinks 8:00 for minute set- push set button; it blinks 107 for temperature set- push set button; then push ON button to start the machine. One last note: I like vanilla yogurt so I add 3 packets of Stevia and 3 tsp of real vanilla to the milk before adding the yogurt culture.

Fermenting device that is damaged.
I was sent a damaged fermenting device, because the temperature reading on the device does not match the temperature reading of the yogurt that I am fermenting, so the yogurt is not fermenting at the correct temperature. I can not make a great yogurt product. This machine is a complete disappointment. The machine does not work the way it should, this is why I am writing this review. To warn other potential buyers. I should receive a complete refund of this damaged device.

Excellent yogurt machine
Temp and time control are spot on. Took measurements. Temp rose to target and maintained steady state for 36 hours of operation. Did test runs: two short tests, two "real" batches, and a new batch is fermenting now. SIBO. The provided jar lids snap on and have NO plastic odor. At first, the set controls confused me until I realized they are very light touch and the COLON between hours and minutes BLINKS when the unit is operating and counting down.

Good temperature control and range
Can use this for making yogurt that requires a lower cooking temp and can also adjust the temp to cook a higher temp yogurt. We used a thermometer to check its accuracy and it was off by a degree or so, and that’s not a problem. Well made. Love the jars for individual servings. Wish it had a large quart bowl with cover so you have the option of a single bowl. We’re finding a Corning casserole works alright. Very satisfied.

Bad temperature control unless water added to yogurt cup bottom (bath)
The Suteck Yogurt maker would not adequately control the set point temperature and allowed wild swings in the temperature yielding bad results in the yogurt produced. The manual for the Suteck Yogurt maker specifically states that no water is needed in the unit ( bottom) in which the yogurt cups are placed for fermentation. This is not true - I had to add water to unit to get the temperature to stabilize around the set point temperature. The misinformation Suteck puts in their manual will result in over- or under-heating of the yogurt cups in the unit unless water is placed in the unit for the cup bottoms to sit in.

A Healthy Game Changer
I bought this as a recommendation from a book called "Super Gut." As a part of a program to rebuild my GI microbiome, I needed to create my own yogurt using specific strains of probiotics and prebiotic fibers. I was so excited to have made, and continue to make absolutely perfecto yogurt. It is SO SIMPLE to make in 9 single serving, thick glass containers. My only issue is that I can't find a way to order replacement cups and lids, in case I lose or break one... or more. I hope to contact the company to make that happen. What I bought is one of the best purchases I've made in quite some time. I Highly recommend.
