Roxil Wood Protection Cream - 3L - One Coat Wood Sealer, Instant Waterproofing Clear Treatment, Preserves Outdoor Fences, Decking, Furniture, Shed

I just had my lovely fence installed and wanted to purchase some fence protection. After reading all the amazing reviews for this product, I decided to just buy it. I didn't want to stain my fence, all I wanted was to put a protection on for the wood and this fitted the bill perfectly. It keeps the colour of your fence and does not stain it, but does offer a good protection. This wood protect goes on like lotion, looks like lotion, lotion for your fence and it is super easy to use with a brush or a cloth. I am confident this will give fantastic protection for my fence for a good couple of years. The one tin gave me enough to do about 4 panels, my fence panels are huge though and quite high too. Good value for money, will most certainly purchase this again when needed.

Excellent product, really easy to apply, I used a cloth rather than a brush as I found it easier. Let dry overnight and reapplied. Used to protect two vintage wooden tables that are outside and some wooden planters. Also didnt realise how far it goes, this tin will last me ages.

Very non-drip. Hard to see where you've applied it, as though white, it quickly dries clear. It leaves a soapy (but dry) sort of feel. I've used it to do a new hen hutch & run, & it was touch dry, (on a breezy warm day) in about 2 hours, except for accumulations in corners & around steel mesh. It was hard to apply to the inner crevices where the wire mesh was slotted between wood panels - ruined the brush stuffing it into the slots. May use a more runny paint or varnish for meshed ares in future. Advantages; the golden pre-treatment wood preservative colour it arrived with was preserved, (don't know for how long!) as the cream dries clear. It was non-messy to apply, except the mesh panels. Not strong-smelling, & pretty quick-drying, so I could turn the panels & do the other side same afternoon. It may be useful for reducing mite 'habitat' being a plasticky sort of finish, & long-lasting.

This is not a stain, but a preservative. It is the equivalent of a person using moisturer - and in the tin does actually look like lanolin, or a white face cream. Easy to apply, does not skin over in the tin as paint would, nor leave a tide mark as it dries. Works on either rough hewn or planed wood, sinks easily into the wood and at first makes it subtly darker until dried. You then have a soft smooth surface to the touch, and it works really well. I have now purchased five tins of this and used on gates, shed, summerhouse etc. One coat is said to give ten years protection, but I have applied biannually as I like the soft care it provides, and the smooth touch/ Very pleased with the product, which provides better long term care than a wood stain. Recommend.

Firstly the tin arrived well packed in a slightly larger box but with a bottom and top moulded fitting to hold the can centrally away from the inside of the box and with no movement. I purchased this to refurbish an up market Scandinavian Redwood bench which is around 10 years old and has stood outside uncovered and,apart from some green algae, which was washed off, is solid with no rotting and has not been stained or varnished but only treated with other clear water repellent preservative. The manufacturers treatment is double the price of the Roxil weight for weight so decided to try this. Application of the cream by brush was easy although it does not brush on evenly unlike the more fluid products - but no dripping as well! The white colour goes as it dries in and I found that any remaining particularly thick areas can be lightly over brushed or wiped with a cloth to spread it out with no “edges” showing. The tin does not indicate how to clean brushes etc. I initially tried washing in water and detergent but that doesn’t work as the preservative repels the water!! On scanning the QR code on the tin the link indicates that white spirit should be used - and works! Very satisfied with this product. Before and after photos, water repellency and brush/roller cleaning instructions attached. The lid fitted back on with no issue for me. Very pleased and highly recommended. After busting my balls building a wooden sleeper patio set during lockdown I searched long and hard for decent reviews to find a decent product. It’s not often I leave reviews, in fact this is only my 2nd on Amazon but if you’re anything like me, reviews serve better than an actual product description! First off; they are small tins. But it does cover a reasonable amount. I needed three tins for the full build in photo 3 and wish I’d bought the bulk tin. Brushes clean well with warm water and painting with something like shaving foam is incredibly easy albeit odd. Make sure you apply a thick coat so it looks like it’s covered in shaving foam. But - make sure it’s going to be fine for 24hrs so the mousse can absorb into the wood, it takes ages and can clog or go thick over edges/gaps. In its mousse form it just seems to wash off/dilute and obviously won’t waterproof anything! Reapplication seems easy; although I’m not sure how given it’s meant to stop fluids soaking in? I put two coats on all horizontal surfaces. It leaves a very subtle waxy finish, ironically ideal for furniture as it helps make the wood feel smooth and I applied to sanded wood as opposed to rough sawn. It very slightly darkens the wood, like one scale on the b&q paint chart! If you didn’t know the original colour you probably wouldn’t know. If I’m honest I was a bit annoyed, I spent ages sanding green tanalin sleepers which came up almost white in the sun only to them darken to a yellow tinge once painted but a few months on they are ‘bleaching’ in the sun again. Do not get any on your patio stones as it’l leave a grease like mark which tbf is expected. Photos show the build 3 months on, with water beading etc. Only time will tell how it goes but I’m genuinely impressed - and that’s a hard thing to do nowadays! I used the Roxil wood preserve as a base coat which goes on like water but I can’t give a review of that as it’s too soon.

Semble être un très bon produit. Bien aimé la texture en gel plutôt que liquide. Je n'ai que 2 mois d'expérience, mais sur cette durée la protection est impeccable. Mais l'inverse serait scandaleux, bien sûr.

Le produit est très satisfaisant, mais j’ai rencontré un problème avec l’opercule, qui ne se ferme pas correctement. En tant que bricoleur expérimenté, j’ai l’habitude de manipuler ce type de couvercle, mais malgré mes efforts, il reste impossible à refermer. Je partage cette expérience au cas où d’autres rencontreraient le même souci ls doivent savoir que leur situation n'est pas unitaire, dans le cas contraire et bien c'est pas de chance pour moi et ce n'est pas si grave, puisque j'ai transvasé le produit dans un autre pot.
