I chose this because it was the lowest priced among the batteries with the same specs but sadly I had to return it. The battery had a 50% charge when I installed it and I was able to use the laptop for about 10 minutes when I heard one ticking sound and the laptop died. When I tried to restart the laptop there was no power. So I reinstalled my old battery and the laptop worked indicating that the newly purchased battery was problematic. I don't like returning items because it delays the solution of an issue and it is also an unwelcome hassle however, it is something you need to go through if you are sold a defective item. Anyway, I purchased a new one from Amazon with a lot of reviews and avoided the ones in the lower price range. Hopefully it is better product when I get it.

I put this in an old Dell laptop whose battery would no longer charge, but that ran on wired power. After installing, this battery charges to 100 % and works exactly as expected. The laptop is powered on and plugged in 24/7 running a web and email server. That means I haven't taken it off the adapter and tested how long the battery lasts, though I expect it should be fine.
