Easy to setup
Good quality and tolerances. It is easy to insert the letters, without having a any screws to deal with. It’s not too big, just right. You can store up to 24 words. You can use two locks if desired, perhaps to require two people to open. Plenty of letters provided in nice plastic cases.

Easy to use, effective, great peace of mind
Easy to use, effective, great peace of mind (5/5)---I've been around cryptocurrencies for years, using them here and there to send money to friends or pay for digital goods. I'm not a big-time user, but I've lost access to a wallet before and it's the worst. On the other hand, I've lost access to password databases when a key file was unexpectedly lost (without a backup). I think this tool is an answer to both. Whether it's digital assets or encrypted information, this tool can give you a robust fallback.Everything about this kit is steel.. because it has to be. The entire plate is steel and all of the character chips are steel. It's clear this tool is meant to protect your valuable cryptocurrency seed phrases come what may, be it fire, water, or corrosion. I don't plan on my phrase backups needing to be saved from fire, but I also didn't plan on losing recovery phrases in the first place. This tool has three rows, each allowing 16 characters. You can, of course, divide this up however you need, with each row being its own word; two rows being one recovery phrase and the third a different phrase; or all three rows being one phrase. Included in the box are plenty of character chips, organized in labeled organizers. The storage system makes it easy to find the characters you're looking for, and the included tool makes it easy to slot them into the channels. It's all very easy to use, it doesn't really even require instructions.I also liked how they included tamper-proof stickers in the box. You can place these stickers over the edge of the plate and know if anyone else has opened it since you last saw it.The plate is also compact and somewhat inconspicuous. It will fit in your home safe, pretty much any pants pocket, backpacks, laptop carrying bags, etc. There's certainly peace of mind in having a very resilient, robust persistence of seemingly simple yet important information. It's not a digital option susceptible to any number of covert attacks, and it's not a physical option that's easily destroyed by natural disasters. At the time of writing this review, the price of this kit was $49.00. I think that's a good deal for what you're getting. It has use in backing up any short-form information, not just cryptocurrency phrases. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, and I'm considering getting another for redundancy.

Great security without complexity!
I have considered various methods to securely store my seed phrase, but most methods were too complex to set up or not very secure. But, this cold seed storage wallet is firstly, well designed and has a solid durable construction. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. But, set up might take a little while. But, a tip I learned that might make the setup easier, is that the metal tiles with letters on them, are two sided, with different letters on each side. There is a marked corresponding container with two letters indicated. So, for example if you're looking for a C tile to spell your seed word, you would go to the container marked L/C, which has twenty or so pieces marked L/C in it. But, you won't have to sort through the container to find an L or a C letter, because each piece has both an L and a C on either side. Another tip is that there's only room for the first four letters for each seed word...that's all you'll need. There is a small marker that shows where the seed word ends and the next one begins along with a number adjacent to it. If one of your seed words only has three letters, there are blank tiles to fill in the space, IF NEEDED. The same for any space where one seed word ends or begins and a space is needed to keep it aligned with it's corresponding number and space. That's pretty much it. Once you read the instructions and learn how to unlock and open it, then you'll spend your time placing the tiles in and the then re-locking it. Also, it may look like it's scratched or damaged initially, but it's just a plastic sticker on both sides of the storage wallet that has to be pulled off to get the smooth metal finish.Overall, I find it to be a great, solid, seed storage wallet at a very reasonable price that provides great security without complexity.

Prepare to spend an hour or more
I debated whether to give the SecuX 4 or 5 stars and went with 5 only because the set-up is something you hopefully have to do once in a blue moon. Installing the tiny tiles took me about 50 minutes for a 12 seed phrase and there are a few reasons for that.1) The tiles are VERY small so maneuvering them takes a very steady hand and can be frustrating. The problem is that the tiles can go in as they are supposed to, but they can go in even easier when sideways and getting them to go in properly is harder than I expected. If I were to design a similar system, I'd try and ensure that the tiles would only go in one way, the right way.2) When I was almost finished with the first row, I accidentally tipped the device sideway and all the tiles that I had just spent 10 minutes sliding in came hurtling out and spilled on the desk requiring me to repeat the procedure. Cue the cursing.Ignoring the frustrating install, the SecuX is very solid and I'm confident it can handle any realistic physical disaster it may encounter. Jameson Lopp has tested a bunch of backup devices and found that a hydraulic press will deform this type of of system and render it fairly useless. However, it's almost impossible to come up with a realistic scenario where that type of very focused extreme pressure will impact a seed storage device. Other than a meteor scoring a direct impact, feel free to comment if you know of one. For fire. flood and earthquake I'm sure the SecuX has you covered. If you're willing to spend 45-90 minutes sliding in your seed words this is a great choice.
