will this hard drive replace one in a hp 15-0038wm

Basically you can replace a hard drive with an ssd in laptops, Since yours is a 15" it should have a bay door which can be removed to access the HDD, if not just remove the whole back cover. You can find instructions on how to disassemble your particular laptop on the HP support site.
