I can't speak to the ease of installation, my son the IT guy of the family set it up in a half hour and had devices using the WiFi in about 45 minutes. Works great and works in concert with my previous streaming service.

Setup was super easy, system has extended network connectivity, NETGEAR products are always good quality and in the 30 days it has been up and running. It has preformed as expected!

I replaced a Google wifi setup I had for 5 years with this, as the Google wifi was just unbearably slow. It was slow, but it was at least reliable. This one? Not so much. The satellites constantly disconnect, or even worse, they get partitioned from the network and silently cut off all the devices attached to them. This has happened to me in the middle of work calls, and all my Ring cameras are constantly going on and offline. I’ve tried it in both router and AP mode, and updated all firmware and tried different wifi settings - nothing. The firmware in these things just seem so fickle - and they don’t recover from failure gracefully. Oh well. Back to the drawing board. Not recommended.

I was ready for better speeds and range upgrading my orbi rbr10 system. Speeds are about the same and range is same or worse. It's ok but not the best. I reboot every couple months. Satellites usually stay connected. I reboot every couple months and have to resync them occasionally.

I purchased this system for a customer who could not get any WiFi system to give good coverage in her large home. Her home had many WiFi-enabled devices, including IP Cameras, networked appliances, PC's, Tablets, SmartPhones and Smart TV's. After installing the Nighthawk Mesh System, every device began functioning perfectly (and has been working, without any issues, since it was installed 4 weeks ago). As an installer, I liked that I had control of the router functions (Port Forwarding, SSID, etc.). I didn't think the setup was simple, but since I'm a professional installer, I didn't have any difficulty (it's possible that novices might stumble a bit, during installation, but if you follow the directions in the App, you'll be fine). Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this system (In fact, I've already purchased and installed another one for a different customer).

Tuve un poco de dolor de cabeza porque no lo configuraron a original de fábrica y la app es complicada de usar. Tuve que configurarlo en la web con el “Ip address” y luego de configurarlo pude usar la app. Para servicio del cliente y garantía el link ofrecido por Amazon te responde muy bien y rápido,incluso te envía encuesta de sastifación en la cual recomendé mejoras en la app porque estuve tres días configurándolo, pero estoy contenta con el equipo renovado porque me resolvió la mala señal en mi casa.

I have had many netgear routers and was excited to get a mesh set. These do not have the same range as the normal routers unfortunately and i had to spend a lot of time playing with the placement through the house to make them work in a 3000 foot house. They are very ease to set up though and once they are placed in just the right spot your usually good with minimal drops.
