Stay informed with radio and safe with the light!
Great product, this is my second purchase of this radio and it will be given as a gift. I live in a state with weather that sometimes causes frequent power outages leaving us in the dark for days at a time. The radio has features that are so great. It charges by USB, a built in solar panel, regular batteries, and should all else fails, there is a hand crank to charge the internal self contained battery to power everything. It has a regular radio and NOAA weather station, a room light, a flashlight a loud siren. This is a must have for most any conditions. Radio and seller highly recommended.

Good for outdoor activities and power outages.
Great for power outages unless the radio stations have also lost power, which rarely occurs. There is a solar powered station near us that stays on all of the time. This is also good to have when hiking in the mountains as long as you can pick up a station or two. We have gotten clear signals from stations broadcasting from 150 miles away. It's not hi-fi but the sound quality is clear and sharp.

Apocalypse Friendly
Great little radio. We charged it up when it arrived, and it also takes batteries and has a solar panel. With the weather being so extreme these days, it's a good idea to keep that in a tub in your basement with some batteries. You know, in case the zombies come.

Good Features
Decent radio. Can be powered by internal rechargeable battery, AA batteries, solar or hand crank so good for emergencies or disasters. The one feature I wish it had but doesn't is a notification alarm. That would be a position where the radio is not broadcasting but if a serious weather announcement develops it would give a notification.

Have Not had it long but so far....
So far this appears to be a nice little emergency radio. I bought it because my old Radio Shack emergency radio finally bit the dust. (Radio Shack is no longer in business.) I have no illusions that the solar-charger on the top of the radio will really do any amount of decent charging but the rest of the features seem to work reasonably well. I was able to charge up the internal lithium battery with the included cable and a 5V wall charger I had lying around, and the radio worked off of the internal battery. It also worked off of AA batteries when I installed them. (Be sure to switch from L-ion to AA when using AA batteries.) I also was able top off charging my cell phone using the internal battery when it was charged up. Again I have no illusions that the radio internal battery would be able to fully charge an charge empty cell phone with either its internal battery or the charging crank, but it hopefully should be able to charge a phone up enough so that it could be used in an emergency to call for help. Perhaps someone would have to continuously charge the phone with the crank so that someone else would be able to have a long enough phone conversation to give emergency responders their location and problem. I ended up purchasing a separate table radio for home use that can work off of both an AC wall plug and D batteries with no Weather band channel so as to keep the little Prunus Emergency Radio always on stand by for emergencies. I did a lot of searching and research before deciding upon anemergency radio and all in all, so far, I think purchasing this little Prunus emergency radio was a good choice for my needs without breaking the bank.
