I’ve been using NIPPON Ant Killer Powder for five years now, and let me tell you, it’s the unsung hero of my summer battle against the ant army. I’m on my second bottle, and it’s become my secret weapon in the quest for a bug-free home. First off, this stuff works like magic. It’s so effective, I’m convinced it’s got some kind of ant Jedi mind trick happening. The ants seem to vanish faster than my hopes of keeping a summer picnic ant-free. The best part? Each bottle lasts ages, even with my frequent ant skirmishes. It’s like a never-ending supply of peace of mind. It really does its job. I was going to buy one from Sainsbury’s, but I quickly searched on Amazon and found this instead. I’m glad I did because I saved around £4. The only downside is that it’s hard to get the powder out. Squeezing doesn’t always work, so I sometimes have to shake it.

I got this because my broad beans were literally just covered in ants (at first I thought they were blackfly !) and one plant that wasn't attacked had 40 broad beans on it, whilst the attacked one had only 2 very small broad beans on it. I shook the container a couple of times, removed the lid and drenched the affected broad bean with the powder - the next morning the plant was "ant free", it was as though there never had been any ants there in the first place - just amazing. I then spotted just a few ants on the path in my largest greenhouse, then when I lifted up the matting there were literally thousands, so I put a liberal dressing of powder down - next morning they were all gone, so a second success, I have also bought some of the liquid to try too, which doesn't immediately kill them but lets them return to the ant hill, or nest and spreads the active ingredient (it is a different ingredient to the powder, which is a 'contact killer' and kills ants immediately), and I will be putting that down today. Conclusion : The powder is really 100% effective when it is directly put onto ants themselves but if you can't find the actual ants 'home' then you need the liquid as well ! 5 stars all day long from me, it is just an amazing product !

It's early days but I'm going to go straight in with 5 stars for this. It's definitely helping reduce woodlice numbers in the house and garage. I've only seen 5 in the house over the last two weeks and none at all in the garage which is more than manageable! They are all in completely different areas of the house which is frustrating as I don't think they are accessing the house from the same entry point, but I digress. I've scattered this around the perimeter of the outside of the house, inside around skirting boards and under the kitchen cabinets. Just picked up another bottle to really go to town and hopefully stop the strays that are still finding their way in. Definitely recommend this. It's relatively cheap and the bottle goes a long way for it's size.

Package arrived like it had been thrown around abit, had to reshape bottle so it could stand upright! Power works but the power does not flow out easily, you have to shake it alot , tipping it up and down regularly to then be able to squeeze it out. It initially looks like the powder isn't working as the ants continue about there way, but after a while all ant activity seems to stop!

The powder does kill ants, and it’s effective. But it’s very messy to use – it blows around easily, leaves white marks on patios and indoors, and isn’t great if you’ve got pets or kids around. I ended up only using it in outdoor cracks or areas I don’t mind getting messy. Overall, it works, but I’d recommend a liquid or gel alternative if you want something cleaner and easier to handle.
