KINGSOLAR 39W Mono-crystalline Solar Charger Dual Output Solar Panel USB-5V/2.1A DC-18V/2.2A (Foldable, Portable, PowermaxIQ Technology)

I bought this 3 months ago, mostly to try it out for a few months before a 3 week road-trip over the summer. I've done similar length trips in my campervan armed with a handful of assorted power packs, charged from both the trusty 12v cigarette lighter socket when driving, and from mains overnight when it was available. And two kids who have phones and nintendos eating up the power... I've found that unless you're driving hours a day, the 12v socket isn't enough, and that not being guaranteed mains meant that I was struggling after a fortnight...So, a solar alternative was required and given i'll be in France & Spain, it may be my primary power. On UK dry-runs during Apr, May & Jun, I can confirm it works really, really well. For sure, really brilliant sunshine & a clear sky gives the best results - really quick. On a sunny or overcast day, it'll get there. You get the blue ("i'm working!") light lit even when I lay it out on the van bed during the day while we're out and about. I think in the UK you really want the panel 'on' all the time - 2 hours in the morning just won't cut it.My batteries are a mix of assorted large 12 - 26mAh types, and all have simple 4 LED indicators - so I can't be giving hard numbers. I have found that having a couple of packs means I can leave one charging all day and take another with me for phone top-ups, and swap them round each day. I've not felt I've needed to be careful with power during Easter and May half term breaks this year, so that's a win. For a long weekend, just take a really large battery pack or two..!Quality wise, nice thick 'canvas' type cover, the panel side feels a thick, plastic material. The loops are maybe a little flimsy, but no issues so far, and I use them to hang the panel on a 'mount' to angle it towards the sun better. Not bothered about the small pocket to be honest. Folds up securely with the Velcro, since I tend to keep it open all the time to catch the rays as early and as late as I can..!To summarise: keeping the panel always 'on' and swapping battery packs for a charge-one / use-one kind of cycle, even with the UK weather, it's keeping me going - very happy.

I bought the king solar solar charger purely based on the price and customer reviews and I’m so glad that I did. It arrived promptly and very well packaged. I wanted something decent to keep my phone and MP3 player charged while I was away camping for more than a few days and this seemed to fit the bill. Now that I’ve used it for a few weeks I’m happy to report it’s abilities with confidence. It is more than capable of charging my iPhones,my MP3 player,my Bluetooth headphones,my 10,000 mah power bank and unbelievably 2 AA batteries in a pound shop usb charger. If that doesn’t impress then I’m not sure what will.It charges relatively quickly depending on how strong the sun is but even charges on overcast days although slower obviously. It’s very well made indeed and I reckon it should last for years, the panels are quality and the cover and Velcro are very good quality with a small pocket inside to store a couple of cables. It has more than enough loops sewn on for hanging purposes so simply attach little carabiner clips to them and hang it up and plug your cable in and get on with your day. I’m very very happy with mine and would definitely recommend both king solar products and this product in particular.Its lightweight sturdy robust and well made and worth every penny.

Pretty good solar even on sunny winter days. Wish the top flap was at the bottom to maximise solar when hanging because I always hang it to maximise the angle as the sun moves. I use it for phone, light and battery charging.

Works really well in direct sunlight, I was using it to charge my portable speaker whilst in the garden and had it fully charged within an hour.A while later it got cloudy, and I switched it to charge my phone, it still worked but a lot less charge was going in, but that's what you'd expect from a solar panel charger, I would keep using this though, great for summer time and beach, or even for people travelling.

The 14W solar panel does its job successfully, even if sunlight is not perpendicular on panel's surface. It fully charged my phone battery (3200 mAh) in 90 minutes, using the 2.1 A slot. It charges faster than original charger or the car charger. Awesome !!!!. Excellent for camping or travelling. Buy with confidence. I'm very satisfied and I highly recommend this product and the seller.

charges my power pack enough to charge my phone and tourches when fishing. covers my needs for a weekend in the summer, we will see how it copes in the winter, well made. im very happy.

Works fine in cloud weather, using it at the moment to keep an external battery charged at all times for emergencies.

Excellent product it really does what it supposed to do charges a battery of 4200 A
