Brilliant steps — great for my elderly cat!
Brilliant product! I bought one set of these originally as my elderly cat had sustained an injury a little while ago which made his jumping up and down from furniture and the bed, a problem for him.It took a little coaxing to get him to use them, and they sat unused for a week or two. One day, I picked him up and gently coaxed him up the steps. Now he absolutely loves them and wouldn’t be without them. His injury has since healed but he still uses them every day, and they’re a Godsend for his stiff joints in the mornings! (Occasionally he still thinks he’s a kitten and climbs the back of the chair instead, otherwise they are constantly in use!).I initially bought a set for the bed but now have a set downstairs too. They are easy to assemble with one person (they take about 5 minutes to put up), ‘click,’ into place nicely, and are reassuringly sturdy. All you need to do is take out the 3 screws (shown with stickers) and put it up. (That is, if you want them to be stairs and not a ramp.) The hinges lock into place nicely.(The second set I purchased was a little stiff on one side, the hinge didn’t quite ‘click home’ nicely. So I took the hinge off, experimented with pliers, and got it working happily! Now it’s just as secure as the first set!)My cat is quite heavy at around 11lbs, but he’s really happy with these and I feel like they’d take the weight of quite a sturdy dog, no problem!(A note of warning about a different product: Before I bought these, I bought a set of plastic steps which had small patches of carpet like material you could stick on the steps. They were a big mistake. I coaxed my cat up those but the small patches of carpet are ridiculous, he was scrabbling around trying to get purchase on the plastic and he didn’t feel or look, safe using them at all. So I would wholeheartedly recommend these lovely wooden stairs instead for your pets comfort and safety! Especially if your cat is on the larger side. If my cat could review these, I know he would give them Five Stars!

Amazing quality for the price
Bought these for our rescue greyhound who refuses to jump in to our cars (she is taking retirement very seriously and is one lazy lady of leisure now!). Husband can pick her up and put her in his car boot but I struggle to lift her so for the price, thought I would try these to keep in my car. My husband is fussy about workmanship and quality but he says he cannot fault these steps. They fold nice and flat, are surprisingly sturdy (our girl weighs 27Kg and take her weight no problem so be fine for a bigger dog too), come fully assembled and are super easy to open up. I have neuropathy in my hands but manage no problem. The steps can also be set up as a ramp but personally if you can get your dog to use this as steps then I think there is less chance of slips etc but depends what your dog finds best I guess. Each step is covered in a strong black fabric that wipes clean when required. Not had them long so our dog is still learning to use them (not helped by the fact that she has only just retured from racing and we live in a bungalow so steps are new to her full stop) but we find a few treats tempt her to use them and eventually get in the car boot so it is work in progress. We found to start with that we had to put her paws on the 2nd step and guide her back legs on to the first step. We are certain than when she is older she will be really glad of these steps.Thoroughly recommend the build quality. Very happy.

Great for an elderly family member or even your dog.
The media could not be loaded. I already have a set of these steps-the ones covered in hair and bite marks (sorry) A friend needed some for her dogs who have problems with their legs - 2 of them shown demonstrating their new positions after learning very quickly how to climb onto their favourite chair. I ordered her a set as I had sent her the videos - the other shows how to lie the steps into a sloping ramp but I am only allowed to add one video - and she thought it would be suitable. The delivery was estimated at a week. It was dispatched the following day and received the day after. Very impressive. My friend is not very good at diy but managed to assemble the steps quickly and easily. The dogs soon learned how they could climb into their favourite chairs without a struggle and my friend is really happy with the steps. They are sturdy - I was able to stand on them and they didn't move and I weight more than I should so that's good if you have a large dog. They are light enough to move around easily and will be great for in the house, garden or with the car. They are steps, a slope or fold flat so are fairly easy to store. Mine are in the boot of my car. There are 2 metal hinges on the sides which you need to click into place for maximum safety, those of you with good eyesight will notice the hinge is not fully closed on my video - health and safety had a day off. Oops. The only thing I would fault is the quality of the covering. It is very thin and my don't the hairs stick! Carpet off cuts can usually be obtained easily enough and/or carpet tiles. If the material wears and develops holes a bit of carpet on the treads is unlikely to affect the folding of the steps and would be easy enough to fix to the tops of the treads. It would affect if you tried to fully cover the treads though. All in all a fabulous little set of steps, very sturdy and so far no issues to complain about.
