I was surprised at the difference (Nose and Mouth Mask user)
First, if you expect the travel CPAP units to be as quiet as your larger ones at home, give up now and haul your big unit around with you. I have had 3 different units over the years and returned two of them right away. They all are noisier than the larger home-based units. I finally got a MiniAir from Resmed, which has been the best. Unfortunately, to me, it still sounded like a jet plane taking off at night and often was a discouragement to use. I use my Mini when traveling for work, and often, since I am alone, didn't use it due to the noise and I do not sleep as well. With this last trip, I added the Muffler and a Humidity unit. I also got the adaptor for my normal hose and left the travel Resmed mask at home, and used the mask I have attached to my home unit (Perkel). Like magic the system was much more quiet and comfortable. Both the muffler and mask change helped. I highly recommend the muffler for those sensitive to the sound and who use a full mask and not nose pillows.

Great Mini Muffler
I use this was an adapter on my mini and it helps to refuse the sound that some complain about. Great build quality and it does reduce the overall sound level.

It works!
I got this to use with my Resmed Mini. If you have the Mini, you know, in "stock" form, it's really not that quiet. The part where you put the humidifier disks is very noisy. I purchased an adapter so I could use my regular CPAP hose and mask. That alone made a sizable difference, but it still wasn't as quiet as I'd prefer - certainly not as quiet as my tabletop model. Then I found this Muffler. I attach it to the Mini, then attach my regular 6' hose. It made the machine much quieter, very similar to my Resmed Airsense 10. I was able to use it during several trips and my wife was very pleased. I like it so much that I now attach it to the Airsense 10 to quiet it a little more. I definitely recommend this product. Here's an update. After using this product for a couple of years, I can still say it works to quiet CPAPs--the mini and "regular" models. Longevity is another matter, which is why I lowered it to 4 stars. My first purchase ended up cracking. A little duct tape and it was (almost) as good as new. It is now my backup. My second purchase has had issues, too. The plastic housing opens on one end. This is a good thing: I feel it needs to be cleaned when I clean my hoses, masks, etc. Cleaning is easy, but there are small "clips" that hold the end on. I've broken half of them, so that end is getting loose. Bottom line is it muffles sound, especially well on the mini, but I use it with my airsense all the time to lower the sound. I still recommend it, but realize you'll be purchasing one annually, as they do break.

Still noise and fragile
Not notable noise reduction cracked easily cheap plastic for the price. It’s pretty disposable just a quarter inch foam sheet in a plastic tube. Cracked near the connection piece on top several places.

Life saver for my Airmini/F40 mask but questionable durability
Edit 2: After 50 days of ownership but barely 15 days of use, I noticed I was having some minor noise and pressure issues. Upon close visual inspection of the muffler, I found out it had a hairline crack near the hose plug end. I am removing 2 stars due to this issue. The product durability and manufacturing quality is definitively concerning. Edit 1: After 10 days of use, continues to work as expected. However, I must caution: when removing the CPAP hose conector from the muffler, hold the muffler conector part tightly so that the removal force does not take it apart. It came out once and luckily, it did not break so I was able to reinsert it. They should definitively redesign this piece but I am not taking a star away just warning customers to be gentle when detaching their hoses. Original review: This little muffler is a game-changer. I purchased an AirMini to pair it with my favorite Resmed F40 mask. The mask was comfortable to use with the Airsense 11 device but unbearable to use with the AirMini due to the turbine noise. After some google research the Q-lite muffler showed up so here we are after my first night of sleep with the winning equipment, I can say its almost as silent as when using the Airsense 11. I want to share that I also used a universal HME filter for humidification. I am not sure if it also contributed to the noise reduction.

From a roar to a whisper!
WOW! This muffler does the job of quieting the air sound. I was ready to give up on my AirMini because the noise was so loud and disruptive. With the Q-Lite, the air sound is quite similar to soft white noise and is soothing. I’m very impressed & can highly recommend this product.
