Great pencil, with long battery life
Better than the Apple Pencil in my opinion, and it lasts a great deal of time before charges, easy on off by tapping the top twice, feels sturdy and writes well with no apparent lag, it’s quite heavy but I like that personally and it’s comfortable to hold. Fraction of the price of Apples pencil and does the same job, no contest!

Absolutely amazing for the price
Brilliant choice for the price, does not need Bluetooth to connect and can easily jump between iPads. Works with M5 iPad Pro and was bought due to the price of having to pay for another Apple Pencil as previous pencil no longer compatible. Works amazing and somewhat more receptive than my Apple Pencil with my previous iPad. Albeit does not have the double tap for eraser feature but there are work around for most apps. Battery lasts a full day easily and charges very quickly in about half an hour via usb c, pen does attach well to ipad magnetically but obviously does not charge. Also comes with 4 additional tips which is a nice additional feature. Would totally recommend the pen to anyone and amazing at a fraction of the price.

Great Value Note-Taking Stylus, Solid Alternative to Apple Pencil
I’ve been using the MetaPencil with my A16 iPad for about a month, mostly for note-taking, and I’m quite impressed. It feels light and premium, giving the sensation of a high-end stylus at a fraction of the cost of the Apple Pencil. For anyone who wants a reliable and stylish option without paying Apple’s price, this is a solid choice. The pencil works very well for everyday note-taking. It responds to pressure reasonably accurately and feels natural when writing or sketching quick diagrams. It isn’t as smooth as the Apple Pencil, and occasionally it can lag during intensive use, but for most tasks, it performs very satisfactorily. On the downside, the battery life isn’t outstanding, and the charging port doesn’t have a protective cover like the Apple Pencil does. These are minor inconveniences but worth keeping in mind if you plan to use it heavily or worry about wear and tear over time. Overall, I would recommend the MetaPencil for its value. It’s a great choice for students, casual note-takers, or anyone who wants a premium-feeling stylus without spending a lot. That said, if you write a lot or rely heavily on the Apple ecosystem, the Apple Pencil might be worth the extra investment since it’s smoother, more responsive, and better integrated with iPadOS. In short: excellent for the price, premium feel, solid performance, but the Apple Pencil still wins for heavy users.

Very nice pen!
Got this pen for my iPad (9th Generation). It works really and is compatible. The only thing I would say is it was a little difficult to work out how the pen turned on when I first got it. Luckily it doesn’t need a Bluetooth connection!

Best budget alternative to Apple Pencil
If I could give this 6 stars I would. I bought this 6 months ago and have used it every day since. I really like the ‘official’ Apple Pencil. It is expensive, one version doesn’t always work with the next generation iPad and it has more feature than I need. So I thought I’d try this as an alternative. It’s absolutely brilliant. Metapen is a very practical design, charges v quickly - Metapen made a design compromise with the usb-c charging point - The pen does everything I want. It seamlessly connects, very easy to switch on and off. It is very responsive, fits comfortably in my hand, and I don’t worry about losing it… I write very few reviews and I have not received a free pen or any incentive to write this review. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Perfect iPad pen for lectures and slides
I didn’t want to spend so much money on an Apple Pencil, so I looked at several alternatives and I’m really glad I chose this one. I’ve had it for over a year and I’ve only had to charge it a few time. I can literally count them on my fingers. The battery lasts forever. What I really liked is that I didn’t have to pair it with Bluetooth. I just turned it on and it connected to my iPad straight away. The double-tap to turn it on and off is super convenient, especially when I’m in class. I mainly use it for university. I write directly on my lecture slides and PDFs, and it feels smooth and accurate. It also comes with a spare tip, although I’m still using the original one and it’s still in perfect condition. If you’re a university student who takes notes like I do, this pen is perfect.

Very good value basic pencil compatible with the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air (2025 versions)
I found this little Apple Pencil clone via an online review, which has proven very useful. As both of us have new iPads, I thought it would be good to try something new but as I've never had any form of electronic pencil before, I was wary of buying the new Apple Pencil Pro at £129. What if I just wasn't a pencil person, or had no artistic talent with a drawing programme? Now I'm not going to worry about the extra functionality the real Pencil Pro has and because I don't have an artistic streak I can't comment on how well it draws, or not. I also bought this because I thought it may double as a pointer for my wife, one whose pointy end won't fail after a few weeks of use (as her cheap, disposable ones do consistently). This may not be designed as a pointer but she finds it works very well with the 'point to paint' artwork she likes to complete. In fact, I haven't really had a look-in since I asked her to try it. She says it is much easier to be accurate with this pointer's end, which makes me happy. In fairness I must say when she's using it to tap-tap on iPad Air, it is noisier than a conventional fabric tipped pointer. I think it has a good weight in your hand and looks as if it will last a reasonable time (it has a spare pointy end). It charges quickly enough, the USB-C port is convenient and the 'tap-tap' action on the pencil-end to start using it and turn off works well. As does the auto-turn off after 5 minutes. From our use, I'd say it was fit for purpose and, at a fraction of the cost of the real Apple Pencil, warmly recommended. I may even buy one for myself!

Good pencil for its price, but the magnetic attachment is decent.
Overall, It is a good pencil. It does what it needs to do. I like writting on it and it feels like a real pencil. It is long lasting, it survives my long study. The magnetic part is weak and it can easily removed when it’s attached to the tablet. I consider this as bad because it doesn’t stay well, but it’s decent enough. Better than not working magnetic attachment.
