Great Value!
With a little bit of minor tweaking this has been a great little motor! My main motor for my duck boat went down during the season and I needed an inexpensive (and fast) replacement. While this motor won’t win any races, it managed to move a loaded down 14ft Jon boat pretty well. It always started in 1-2 pulls even down into below freezing temperatures, the only concern I had in the cold was the plastic prop with ice chunks. This motor is dependable enough that I’m going to have a hard time swapping back to a bigger two stroke.

Manual is hard to understand
I haven't tried starting this yet - I only just unboxed it and tried to read the manual to understand these "break in procedures" that are referenced in the comments. No such procedures exist and the english portion on the manual is ridiculously hard to understand. Looks like they just used Google translate or something. What the heck does this mean: "Please the clean lub cant of the high quality of usage, and recommend the lubricant of using to have no the special additive." This make no sense! Are english speakers so hard to find in China that companies can't hire someone to translate thier manual into something that actually makes sense? Edit: found some online resources to learn what I needed. The outboard comes with no lower unit oil so you have to add some by removing the propeller and cover plate around the shaft. Be sure to grease the shaft and o ring when putting it back together. Once I added gasoline mixed with oild using the provided container (recommended!) it started up and ran good. See video

Seems to be decent quality
Started first time; runs smoothly. Some basic assembly required but nothing you can't figure out. Doubt the 4hp claim; 53.2cc would seem to be closer to 3hp. Still plenty for a small fishing boat or inflatable. No frills such as full cover or fuel shutoff. Actually like the translucent gas tank; I can see how much fuel remaining. Lighter in weight than my 2hp Honda. Really like the indexed (click, click, click) twist throttle. Very easy to determine when the clutch will kick in. Overall, I think well worth the price paid.

Very poor quality
First time taking it out after the break in period the prop binded up from a screw coming loose in the lower unit. Took it apart the next day and found that water had also got past the seal so there was a mix of oil, water, metal shavings and a small bolt in the lower unit. On top of that this thing leaks oil from what looks like every RTV seal on the motor and came in the box covered in oil. Hoping this was a dud because other reviews looked promising but waiting on the seller to possibly send me a replacement. Will keep updated…

Happy Fishmore
Its exactly what it is nothing more nothing less. Side note, the very first time I tried to take my motor out to a lake we lost the fuel cap as I forgot to put it back on after fueling motor for the first time. I requested a invoice to purchase a new fuel cap and was sent one without delay at no cost to me, that's worth five stars right there.

Cheap motor
Cranked on first pull. But gas and oil leaks when you store it for travel. The seal for the gear box leaks as well. Put it on a 8ft pelican and it moved it well. Just replace all seals and tighten bolts
