I got this accessory for my granddaughter, a fairly new guinea pig owner - 2 actually. This was a dream of hers for years, and she is a conscientious and caring owner. She reports both pigs stared using the hammock almost immediately and sometimes even together. Their droppings can be found in the hammock most every day.I helped her with the assembly, and I know she (age 13) would not have been able to complete it herself. It did not take long, but it did require a fair amount of strength to tighten the screws to attach the legs to the frame. The hammock has loops that simply attach to hooks at 4 corners, but for some reason, one of the corners of the hammock becomes unattached almost daily. It's not difficult to reattach it, but she is mystified how this keeps occurring on a regular basis. She has not observed it when it happens, only that it's disconnected each morning. It is probably more the result of an over-active pig rather than any type of design flaw. It's a minor issue, and overall she really likes the hammock because her beloved pets like it.

I love this. I unfortunately got one that was too big for our gerbil. Will get another that is the correct size.

This is the first hammock I've ever given my guinea pigs so they were a bit confused by it at first. Most of the time they hide under the hammock, but they're starting to get the hang of climbing in it. My chunkiest girl likes it the most, although she's so heavy she weighs it down and touches the ground, haha! The wood is good quality, it hasn't splintered at all even though they've chewed at it a bit. I might make more hammocks for it because of how often they pee on it. The fabric has held up well to about 10 washes so far, I'll update if it starts to fray. Overall very happy, I'll probably buy another for my other guinea pigs too

My pigs don’t usually like things like that but I took a chance because they are both getting older and having a few things to be on or relax on I think would help them in their older pig life. This came in pieces, but was really really easy to put together like the piece is just screwed and really easy, and then the Hamic part is really thick and quality but also machine washable because one of the pigs Peed on it immediately and I washed in the washing machine and it was just fine. The only slight issue I have is that the loops for the hammock park a really easily removed so a lot of times in the process of the pigs, climbing into it the loop will come off and lay flat so it’s not really a Hamic to remedy that I wrapped the Hamic loops twice around the hooks on the post and there hasn’t really been an issue! I am really really happy with us and the pigs are really happy with us. They go on top of it, and under it all the time, it is nice and sturdy being wood and double lined fleece and canvas !Highly recommend!

I got this for my rats, and they love it! Granted they won’t use the hammock if it’s hanging other than to walk on, but they love jumping on top of it and they love using the fabric as a blanket when it’s not attached! Really really good quality! Easy to put together (think like maybe 3 minutes), a good size but not too big, and it would be super easy to clean too!

This is a freestanding hammock for your small pet. My rats have other hammocks mounted to the walls and ceiling of the cage but this one provides for more mounting opportunities by standing it in the middle of the cage, giving them both a hammock and a solid surface above it to enjoy.Assembly is straightforward, you install 4 screws to hold the legs and 4 eyelets to hold the hammock. The top screws are a bit difficult to turn near the end but this helps them stay in place over time, and there are pilot holes for the eyelets so you don't have to guess where to put them.The hammock itself is reversible and can be washed when it inevitably gets soiled. The wood seems to be finished with some sort of coating to repel urine too which should prevent it from soaking in.
