I picked up this Amazon Basics ergonomic laptop stand to improve my desk setup, and it’s been a solid upgrade. I spend a lot of time on my laptop, so I wanted something that would raise the screen and help with posture. The stand is sturdy and holds the laptop securely, even when typing. It fits larger laptops (up to around 17 inches), which makes it versatile for different devices. What I like most is the adjustable height. It lets you bring the screen closer to eye level, which helps reduce neck strain during longer sessions. Experts often recommend using a stand like this to improve posture when working on a laptop. It’s also lightweight and portable, so it’s easy to move between rooms or take with you if needed. Overall, it’s a simple but effective accessory if you want a more comfortable and ergonomic workspace without spending a lot.

Strong and holds my iPad, tablet and even my laptop securely. It folds down so it can be stored away if needed and the height adjustments are what I really wanted. Perfect even for books or anything that may need to be set up for reading or watching without falling out slipping. Ready out of the box to use. No assembly required for this.

As a computer science teacher, I often spend a lot of time in front of a laptop. I struggled to find a shelf that provided the right height and depth for my computer. Then I tried this portable stand. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, great size for smaller desks, and works like a charm. I am able to adjust the height of the base so my screen is eye level and there is no neck straining taking place. In addition, it is sturdy enough to hold my MacBook in place while I constantly type. Great value

I ended up returning this because my laptop bounced as I typed on my desk. I have a smaller adjustable sit/stand desk, so I think the desk itself moves a small amount as a result of typing or bumping it. That caused my laptop to shake while using it. I also didn't like the angle at which my laptop rested, especially when I wasn't using it. Good piece of equipment and it did feel sturdy but just didn't work for my setup.

This little stand is great. It's various heights are great for different projects, and I even used it on a recent flight to lift my phone higher by sticking it in the top pocket above the tray table so I wasn't craving my neck to watch shows. My two minor complaints are that it is EXTREMELY stiff and difficult to change height, and the second is directly related in that the top plate feels flimsy and feels like it will snap any time I adjust the stand upwards.

I got this to make a work setup for my 16" MacBook Pro. The screen on the laptop is big, but when I use it as a desktop it sits too low. I have a second monitor, and with this stand the two sit side-by-side making it much more useful. Clearly, in this setup you need to have a desktop keyboard and mouse, but I do. I have a dock, and all the desktop components, and with this stand I can really feel that the laptop is just another desktop. This makes for working at home much nicer, but still allows me to unplug and take the laptop on the road. Before this I simply used the external monitor, and kept the laptop closed. This is a problem with the fingerprint sensor in the laptop, and wastes the beautiful screen that comes on the MacBook Pro. So, this simple stand enabled me to use the laptop as a second monitor, lifts it up so that it gets better airflow underneath and as a result it keeps it cooler (this is not really a problem on a MacBook anyway, but still nice). With this stand I can't remember a time that the fan actually turned on while I was working. Can anyone with an Intel PC say that, I don't think so. ;). But, this would keep the intel heaters running just a bit cooler as the underside airflow would be unrestricted. A few notes, it is really stiff, this is good because you want it to maintain its position. But, you have to apply some pressure to move it to the setting you want, this is normal. You basically set it and forget it. If you want an easily adjustable stand, this is probably not the right one for you. There is no way to make it easy to adjust. No screw to tighten or loosen for ease of movement. It is just sturdy and stiff at all times. For a set and forget setup it is really perfect, however.

Very sturdy, the pads are also on the corner so it wont touch your computer directly. Premium material. Although i will say the it stays the way you put it but its kinda hard trying to get it on another position. The height its perfect. Haven’t had any problems from it overheating my macbook. You can also use it as a stand for your ipad if thats what ur also looking for.

This stand is absolutely perfect for my midi controller! It's sturdy and definitely doesn't slip or fall at all. Granted it bounces a little but I am barely touching it so the bounce is minimal. It fits perfectly in the bottom of my Pelican, and is so easy to deploy quickly. Also the grip on it is perfect and this controller isn't going anywhere. 11/10, would purchase again.

Works well. Sort of stiff but works perfectly and is sturdy.

The height this stand offers when fully extended is noticeably more than other options in the price range and supports the screen being as close to eye level as possible, something overlooked in laptop posture but helps greatly with long hours or working remotely (an external keyboard and mouse too). The build quality is excellent in lightweight aluminum unlike so many in plastic, with soft pads to grip the device and rubber feet for a nonslip surface. Most importantly, there's strong tension in the joints that needs firm pressure by hand to adjust, even a heavy laptop won't shift the position. It also collapses to be flat for storage/portability and the cost is reasonable around $30 CAD. I only would liked to have seen a matte black version available too.
