Fresh, Clean Water Thanks to Waterdrop!
I’m very satisfied with my Waterdrop filter! Rosie C from customer service was amazing — she helped me resolve my issue quickly and provided clear, easy-to-follow steps. Thanks to her guidance, my filter is working perfectly. The water is now crystal clear, tastes fresh and clean, and has no unpleasant odor. It feels refreshing and safe to drink straight from the tap. The filter really makes a difference in quality and taste. Excellent product and excellent support — highly recommend!

Overkill but great.
This is complete overkill but it addresses the two things I hate about RO systems: - The large tank - Water dribbling out and taking forever to fill coffee pot. It is compact for what it is and fits under the sink very nicely. Makes a noise while dispensing but it isn't that bad -- the water running is about as loud. Fills my pitcher in about 20 seconds so that is great. Would 28 seconds be OK? Yea probably the 1200 would have been fine too. The bayonet style filters are a personal preference choice. It does make them more expensive to replace but they are FAR easier than the filters where you have to dis-assemble the unit to replace them. I am a little bit concerned about the longevity of the computerized dispenser. It works well but a mechanical lever would have been just fine. The quantity knob is kind of nifty but mostly a gimmick. Would be really cool if it could be pulled out and run directly into coffee pot. The dispenser is much larger than I thought looking at the pictures and leaves lots of room to fill large containers. Installation was very easy except for two things I forgot to order: 1) A drip mat. Has not leaked and I don't expect it to but I don't want to have to pull it out to replace filters. Past experience is something always drips. Maybe I over-tighten or under-tighten something, maybe I accidentally yank one of the hoses out while messing around, maybe filters drip when removing them. Better safe than sorry. 2) A proper drain connector to attach drain line to garbage disposal dishwasher line instead of drilling holes. My particular installation does not have a vertical pipe long enough to drill due to deep sink but even if it did I prefer to hook up with plumbed in connectors rather than the saddle clamp. Other than forgetting those things their claim that installation takes less than half the time as a traditional tank system are absolutely true. The hardest part was lugging bucket after bucket of water out to dump on the garden during the 35 minute flush cycle. Water tastes great (I got the alkaline re-mineralization version). My water was never horrible in the first place though -- main use is to remove salt added by water softener. Update from Spouse in case Waterdrop reads these: A great product would be even better if the base of the dispenser was slightly larger and it came with a pull-out hose similar to the sink faucet. I would love to be able to just hold it over the coffee pot.

X12 Amazing System
I would like to start Thanking WaterDrop Manufacturing an Excellent system which looks sophisticated on CounterTop, Compact in nature and most importantly good water supply that tastes excellent. I used to have older system that came with water softener(Dupure) and it is good cannot say great since it is my first RO system and did NOT know the difference. After 5 years of paying a ton of money for filters and to replace them them additional fee for the technician, I finally gave up the thought of spending close to $500 to replace the filters as my water line(RO) is NOT giving me any water. Other weird thing is I need to fill in Air in the reserve tank every Winter, if not the water does NOT come out faster enough. What I think is great about this system X12 1: It has 2 Modes Energy saving which saves power for me as it runs on electricity, regular mode which I can use during a family gathering where lot of water need to be pumped in less time. 2: The display shows what is your water impurities as the water flows out, it is usually for me 19 to 21 which is the best possible water you can drink. 3: Compact design gets under the sink occupying less space. 4: You can set the amount of water that should be dispensed every time, this is an amazing feature if you have kids and sometimes dont pay attention to turn off the water. 5: Changing Filters is a breeze and dont need to pay the Technician $150. Also you need to schedule and stay home for the repair. 6: Most importantly the Customer Service, they are amazing and I will NOT be able to say how much they helped in installing the system and questions I have to make the system up and running. In my case I have to involve a Plumber to replace the Old system with X12 as our old system has complex installation. But there a videos and manual that can be followed easily to setup the system. For now I am Happy I made the move and water tastes like water should. Caution: If used to drinking tap water initial days you can feel it is different and this is because your taste buds are used to a taste and anything different you may NOT like it and body takes time to adjust. I posted the review to help others who delay things like me and wasting money trying to keep the old system running and not sure which system to move to. In my case this is the Best decision, everybody has different budgets so pick a system based on your needs. Also Waterdrop occasionally has deals on the systems, so subscribe or visit their website to save some more money.

I’ve tried other RO systems and this one the best. Excellent Water filtration system. Installation instructions are very good, 6 months later I’m still very happy with it

Extremely pleased with the Reverse Osmosis X12! Quality of the filtering unit is undeniable. We take our water from our lake which is normally yellow once out of the faucet after being filtered by our primary unit. Once going through the X12 it is cristal clear! Not too hard to install it yourself. It took approximately 2 hours. Unit is very quiet. The electronic faucet coming with the unit will fit in standard holes made on counter top. Ours is made of quartz and the faucet replaced a soap dispenser. Customer service is quick to reply to any questions or queries you have for their products.

Great RO. Super easy to install and water tastes good. Excellent investment. Still need a post install water test to confirm though.

Hubby was dreading this install and then said it was fairly easy and quick when done. All told, maybe an hour - I cleaned the bathroom and scrubbed down the shower and tub while he did it. He was fearing the task of drilling a hole for the faucet on our metal sink, but for nothing as it was only a hole an inch in size. He was most troubled by where to put the saddle drain as manual said on vertical pipe before the trap and we googled to find vertical OR horizontal before the trap was ok. Dishwasher drain takes up room and then our sink has deeper than usual part that goes into the pipe from the drain hole, so limited spots to choose from. I made him angle it up high I don't want anything catching that drain line to go back in and contaminate the entire system and I know there are times when water bubbles at the opening of the second sink (on the right) when the plug is pulled on the left and that could contaminate it. Good quality fittings and hose included. Wish I had pulled the filters out to check what they were like before starting it up but I didn't. It was about as loud as the dishwasher (which is fairly quite really) while it ran its 35 minute flush cycle. That is what it does on initial startup then you can use it. Haven't noticed any noise since. I like the digital display on the faucet top and I love that you dial in the quantity of water you want then press the button to let 'er flow. During the flush it just seemed to trickle out but later on it got better and releases a decent stream now. The tap can be swung from side to side and we played around first to decide where we wanted it due to the swing factor. Nice to swing completely out of the sink way in some cases so we installed it so it could swing to the right out of the way and to the left it stops just past the mid sink point I believe manual says 120 degree swing. It also shows you the TDS value while flowing out the tap but I'm not sure if it is percent or PPM have to find out. Our water is from a well and has high TDS anyway. Although it says a pre-filter should be installed for systems on well water, ours is not yet- next weekend he's adding that at the point where the water line comes into the house. Don't want to go through filters more than necessary and we know from experience that is exactly what happens with the RO systems. We've had 2 others in our past, and they had a pre-filter installed just on the line going into them, not whole house. They cannot compare to the volume this promises and without a storage tank! I am so happy not to deal with another storage tank and to have good drinking and cooking water at the press of a button, just so easy! I surely appreciate the UV treatment too as bacteria is a concern.

Update: Have been using this for a while and have updated my review. Still love this unit. I ordered this because water potability has always been an issue in our home. For context, we have been using a water dispenser with the 19-liter bottles, and buying water jugs at the grocery store or ordering them, which usually cost us $10 each plus some delivery. However we go through it quickly (as "hydrate!" is a big theme in our active family), so we often have to put in a large order if we are spending extended time up there. So this has become our new option. I'm really happy with it. And my family is picky with water. This system is absolutely top of the line. With a mind-blowing 11 stages of filtration, the water that comes out of this faucet is crystal clear and tastes amazing. I tested the water with pH strips to confirm it does indeed raise the pH to an optimal 7.5 as advertised Installation and set up (which I did myself -- and I'm a relative novice) was very simple. It took me just about an hour. I have had some recent experience replacing several bathroom faucets in my home, and installing new bidets throughout, so that helped with my comfort level on this plumbing work. The video and instructions are reassuring. I had to purchase a bit to drill directly into my stainless steel sink for aesthetic purposes, but I could have opted to just drill directly into the counter. The instructions are easy to follow, and all of the components felt premium, so no need to buy any plumbing supplies. The unit is pretty sizeable, but would fit easily under most household sinks. I personally store lots of cleaning supplies & a garbage can under the sink, so I opted to house the unit in a dedicated cabinet for ease of access, maintenance, and to keep it away from the cleaning supplies & garbage. Water comes out of the faucet super fast, so initially it would make a splash when pouring water into small drinks especially. There is a faucet-mode that you can easily configure to, which I would highly recommend (should be the default setting in my opinion). This setting eases into the high-powered output rather than immediately generating high output, and completely eliminates the splash issue. So far, I'm delighted. The water flow rate is good, and we are able to use it for drinking, cooking and water bottle filling with great convenience. The black unit is about the size of an old-school CPU, and fits well enough under the sink. It does need clearance of a couple of inches all around, which was not a problem for us. Note that this does need replacement water filters, much as you do on your fridge water dispenser line. I haven't had to buy a replacement yet, but it looks like they are at the $50 price-point. With the price of the filter unit where it is, that's still pretty good if it's going to last a few years. I would highly recommend investing in this system - it is on the pricier side but the build quality and output is excellent so I expect it to stand the test of time.
