You get what you pay for! Quick and effective RO unit.
Phenomenal RO unit. It filters water very quickly on demand so you don’t have to wait. Flow rate is high compared to other RO units. Taste is great due to the remineralization filter stage. Looks very nice and neat in the cabinet under sink. No leakage issues. Space saving without a storage tank. Big fan. Works as advertised and removes toxins from my municipal tap water.

X12 Amazing System
I would like to start Thanking WaterDrop Manufacturing an Excellent system which looks sophisticated on CounterTop, Compact in nature and most importantly good water supply that tastes excellent. I used to have older system that came with water softener(Dupure) and it is good cannot say great since it is my first RO system and did NOT know the difference. After 5 years of paying a ton of money for filters and to replace them them additional fee for the technician, I finally gave up the thought of spending close to $500 to replace the filters as my water line(RO) is NOT giving me any water. Other weird thing is I need to fill in Air in the reserve tank every Winter, if not the water does NOT come out faster enough. What I think is great about this system X12 1: It has 2 Modes Energy saving which saves power for me as it runs on electricity, regular mode which I can use during a family gathering where lot of water need to be pumped in less time. 2: The display shows what is your water impurities as the water flows out, it is usually for me 19 to 21 which is the best possible water you can drink. 3: Compact design gets under the sink occupying less space. 4: You can set the amount of water that should be dispensed every time, this is an amazing feature if you have kids and sometimes dont pay attention to turn off the water. 5: Changing Filters is a breeze and dont need to pay the Technician $150. Also you need to schedule and stay home for the repair. 6: Most importantly the Customer Service, they are amazing and I will NOT be able to say how much they helped in installing the system and questions I have to make the system up and running. In my case I have to involve a Plumber to replace the Old system with X12 as our old system has complex installation. But there a videos and manual that can be followed easily to setup the system. For now I am Happy I made the move and water tastes like water should. Caution: If used to drinking tap water initial days you can feel it is different and this is because your taste buds are used to a taste and anything different you may NOT like it and body takes time to adjust. I posted the review to help others who delay things like me and wasting money trying to keep the old system running and not sure which system to move to. In my case this is the Best decision, everybody has different budgets so pick a system based on your needs. Also Waterdrop occasionally has deals on the systems, so subscribe or visit their website to save some more money.

1st Year Review - X12
1 year ago I decided to invest in this water filter to rid our household of bottled water. Since then, we have saved tons of money by avoiding having to purchase countless cases of bottled water. Installation was a breeze. This system took us amateurs about 1hr to install including setup and cleanup. The filters last a very long time and the fact that the system indicates when you need to replace a filter. I love how it takes all the guesswork out of the process. The system overall is solid and performs well (as indicated by our TDS score whenever the water is turned on). No leaks thus far. Again, very solid build quality. If you’re looking for a high performing space-saving system, this is the product for you. Key highlights - Digital TDS water quality indicator - filter reminder - tankless and space-saving - superior build quality - changing filters is effortless - water quality is phenomenal

I’m very satisfied with my Waterdrop filter! Rosie C from customer service was amazing — she helped me resolve my issue quickly and provided clear, easy-to-follow steps. Thanks to her guidance, my filter is working perfectly. The water is now crystal clear, tastes fresh and clean, and has no unpleasant odor. It feels refreshing and safe to drink straight from the tap. The filter really makes a difference in quality and taste. Excellent product and excellent support — highly recommend!

Excellent RO System Upgrade: Efficient, Tankless, and Feature-Packed!
We've been using a Culligan RO system for many years, but buying replacement filters online isn’t an option—they can only be picked up in-store. Plus, having Culligan replace the filters costs nearly $450 in California. So, we decided to switch to a new RO system that’s easier to maintain. After extensive research, we chose the Waterdrop X12. Here are the pros, cons, and some hidden features we've discovered: Pros: - Certified Water Quality: This system has passed multiple certified lab tests, so you can be confident it effectively removes contaminants. - Tankless Design: Minimizes the risk of bacterial growth (our old system had a tank, which needed periodic sanitization—costing more in maintenance). = UV Sterilization: Unlike many other RO systems with 3 filters, the X12 includes a UV sterilizing light for added protection. - Smart Monitoring: Both the faucet and main unit track when filters need to be changed—a great feature when life is already busy. - Reputable Company: Waterdrop is backed by a large company with years of experience in water filtration. This was important to us, as many RO systems on the market are from startups, and I didn’t want to invest in a system from a company that might not be around in a few years. - Award-Winning Design: The X12 won a Red Dot Design Award. Even though it’s installed under the sink, it’s nice to have something that looks great! - Excellent Customer Service: Initially, we spoke with a representative who couldn’t answer all our questions. However, we were later connected with a staff member who provided detailed responses promptly, even within 24 hours when out of the office. Cons: - Wobbly Faucet: As some reviewers noted, the smart faucet wobbles. Some have 3D-printed adapters to stabilize it. Hopefully, Waterdrop will consider adding a fix in the future. - Pricey: This is one of the more expensive tankless RO systems, but the unique features make it worth the investment. Plus, Waterdrop frequently offers discounts on their RO systems. - Noise: It does make some noise, but it’s only noticeable when the room is quiet, and it's not a dealbreaker. Additional Thoughts: Some buyers mentioned that the initial water flow is too strong, causing spills. I personally found it acceptable, as the higher flow is part of the appeal. If you prefer a slower flow, the user manual explains how to enable energy-saving mode (restart the unit and press F2+F3), which also reduces the flow. There’s another mode not mentioned in the manual called "faucet mode" (restart the unit and press F1+F2) to reduce the water flow without affecting energy use. Overall, we opted for the X12 due to its faster water flow. If you prefer a lower flow, models like the X8 or G800 might be better options. I hope this review helps you decide if the Waterdrop X12 is right for your family’s needs!

Great RO System
Setup was very easy and straightforward. Took about 45 mins from start to finish. Couple of small things are that this RO system won't work without power and is all electronically controlled. The unit seems to have a little burst causing a splash at first which might be fixed with turning faucet mode on. Overall the water is great. Our tap water is about 400ppm with my tester. I just have a cheap tester so ymmv with a legit one. The RO water is between 50 and 80 ppm which in guessing is due to the remineralization process. The after tastes much better. To replace all 3 filters will cost about $220 USD. I'm hoping that our high ppm tap water doesn't end up causing premature filter replacements, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. All in all I don't regret the purchase, but may have gotten a unit with a normal faucet in retrospect however the measuring of pours is a nice feature. I have used it extensively for water changes in our freshwater fish tank and it's been great. I fill a 5 gallon bucket in the sink with it since it sits high it fits perfectly. Toss in an Anova sous vide set at 82 degrees and it's pretty awesome RO solution for aquarium maintenance. Not quite sure on the filter cost over time yet but I ordered 2x of each of the cheaper filters just in case. I've likely used about 100 gallons so far for water changes so I'll update after the first filter shows replacement need.

Great under the counter filter.
This waterdrop filter is great. It came within a reasonable time, we were able to install it with no trouble. It has been running well. Filters are expensive, but easy to replace. Works quietly. Lets you know when filters need to be replaced. Fawcett works very well with lots of pressure.

Outstanding and delivering product
I searched online for quite sometime before pulling the trigger on the X12 system. I wanted a RO water filtration for the longest but something will always hold me back. Either, overall design, or visual appeal, and so on. I started studying the plus and minus of it, chat with the company until one day, I felt this is the one. I didn’t plan on investing over $600 but as a one time purchase, I knew it will cover all I wished for. The system can produce a 3:1 ratio which means only one cup of water is wasted in producing 3 cups. I really enjoy the tankless approach as I didn’t feel comfortable with a system collecting purified water in a tank and sit in there. Changing filters is as easy as it can get. The faucet design is quite appealing. Doreen at Waterdrop customer service helped me from day one with all my questions and supported me while dealing with the unit at home along with their technicians. She impressed me as a representative and made quite a statement about the company standing behind their products. A happy customer in here.

Best water filter!
Extremely pleased with the Reverse Osmosis X12! Quality of the filtering unit is undeniable. We take our water from our lake which is normally yellow once out of the faucet after being filtered by our primary unit. Once going through the X12 it is cristal clear! Not too hard to install it yourself. It took approximately 2 hours. Unit is very quiet. The electronic faucet coming with the unit will fit in standard holes made on counter top. Ours is made of quartz and the faucet replaced a soap dispenser. Customer service is quick to reply to any questions or queries you have for their products.

Fairly quick installation cuz everything is supplied for you
Hubby was dreading this install and then said it was fairly easy and quick when done. All told, maybe an hour - I cleaned the bathroom and scrubbed down the shower and tub while he did it. He was fearing the task of drilling a hole for the faucet on our metal sink, but for nothing as it was only a hole an inch in size. He was most troubled by where to put the saddle drain as manual said on vertical pipe before the trap and we googled to find vertical OR horizontal before the trap was ok. Dishwasher drain takes up room and then our sink has deeper than usual part that goes into the pipe from the drain hole, so limited spots to choose from. I made him angle it up high I don't want anything catching that drain line to go back in and contaminate the entire system and I know there are times when water bubbles at the opening of the second sink (on the right) when the plug is pulled on the left and that could contaminate it. Good quality fittings and hose included. Wish I had pulled the filters out to check what they were like before starting it up but I didn't. It was about as loud as the dishwasher (which is fairly quite really) while it ran its 35 minute flush cycle. That is what it does on initial startup then you can use it. Haven't noticed any noise since. I like the digital display on the faucet top and I love that you dial in the quantity of water you want then press the button to let 'er flow. During the flush it just seemed to trickle out but later on it got better and releases a decent stream now. The tap can be swung from side to side and we played around first to decide where we wanted it due to the swing factor. Nice to swing completely out of the sink way in some cases so we installed it so it could swing to the right out of the way and to the left it stops just past the mid sink point I believe manual says 120 degree swing. It also shows you the TDS value while flowing out the tap but I'm not sure if it is percent or PPM have to find out. Our water is from a well and has high TDS anyway. Although it says a pre-filter should be installed for systems on well water, ours is not yet- next weekend he's adding that at the point where the water line comes into the house. Don't want to go through filters more than necessary and we know from experience that is exactly what happens with the RO systems. We've had 2 others in our past, and they had a pre-filter installed just on the line going into them, not whole house. They cannot compare to the volume this promises and without a storage tank! I am so happy not to deal with another storage tank and to have good drinking and cooking water at the press of a button, just so easy! I surely appreciate the UV treatment too as bacteria is a concern.
