This PSU might look like a cheap and crappy unit... BUT IT's not!!! The specs are there (I opened and analyzed the components.) While it is cheap, and the components are not top tier, they are of decent quality and perform up to spec even under extreme conditions. All the protections you need are there and they work correctly. All in all a decent quality power supply for a mainstream budget build.

Works just as expected, easily installable, and makes a quiet humming noise. Even though there is a lot of cords this is a perfect psu for your pc.

This saved my computer. The computer started to shut down randomly. I suspected many things: overheating, electrostatic, conflicting Windows updates, software, etc. It was extremely frustrating not knowing the cause of the problem, and it wasted a lot of time. I suspected it was the PSU at first because I knew PSU is the usual prime suspect to cause the computer to shut down randomly. But I was misled by some dubious signs to conclude it couldn't be PSU. One big reason that misled me into excluding PSU was that the computer ran stably in the BIOS mode for a long time. So I thought it couldn't be a PSU. The theory was that if it were, it would have the same problem whenever the computer was running, not just when the full Windows was loaded. Sounds reasonable, right? After having tried everything else to no avail, I finally decided to buy a cheap PSU to give it a try. I simply ran out of ideas. I was ready to abandon the computer anyway, so I bought this inexpensive unit to replace my original PSU, which cost nearly 3 times as much. Guess what? It was the PSU. After I replaced it with this one, the problem disappeared. I still can't explain why the computer with the old PSU in BIOS was able to run stably without booting into Windows. Perhaps I didn't run it long enough? Or perhaps the computer had a very different power consumption pattern when running in BIOS that the old PSU was able to support? Well, it doesn't matter to me now. With this PSU as a cheap replacement, the computer is working with absolutely no power problems.

This powersupply lasted me for my whole life time of my pc, still being used when selling my pc! The quality is perfect as well has all the essential wires.

Went into my PC and lined up nicely with the screw holes. Didn't go too deep into the case. The cables were stiff and unruly however. The psu functions and the chemical smell mentioned in other reviews is present.
