Must-have tool for running cables/wires
I had to run network cabling for my company's new office and being my first time I tried a number of products to do it. This one was my go-to tool for the vast majority of my cable running. Since I had to do this job solo it was a real help in retrieving cables that I had tossed in plenum area above the ceiling using its modular length and hook attachment features. Its dirty work was spent lowering cable through thick insulation layers behind drywall down to network cutouts. I really was rough in using the product and ended up breaking one of the connectors but the others all survived the project and I ended up losing other pieces to my own clumsiness. The affordability also made it relatively easy to replace parts with a whole new set anyway.

Worked Great!
I got this to run a wire from outside, through a soffit into the attic for a webcam. I just drilled a hole big enough, connected about 10 feet of the line, taped the power cord from the webcam to the line with some electrical wire and pushed it on through. Worked perfectly. Had enough bend not to break as I pushed it through and worked like a charm. Well worth it.

Great for DIY
I always do a lot of research before buying something and am frequently surprised at the variety of reviews that I find for a product. Some people say oh this is great other people say oh this is the worst thing I’ve ever seen. For me I was looking for something that I could use occasionally to fish a wire through an attic to the outside to pull a wire. This set provided exactly what I needed and seems to be of sufficient quality. I didn’t experience any breakage as others have said. I suppose if you’re a professional and you do this for a living and you use the thing every day all week long I can’t say whether this would be the right product. For me, a DIY person occasionally needs to use a specialty tool for a job, this was very reasonably priced and did the job perfectly. I only used it once so far but so far so good!

Great for fishing wire up a wall
The fishing kit work perfectly for fishing the speaker wire up the wall and along the ceiling in the basement not sure how I would have gotten the project done without them.

It did the job
It did the job. Be careful to turn it in a way that continues to tighten the tubes. I didn’t think I turned it at all and the cable pulling loop came off.

Doesn’t glow
The description says these are glow rods. They do not glow, which makes it harder to use for attic work.

Worked well for small residential jobs
I used this to fish CAT6 for security cameras and for 12/2 NM (Romex) cable for some recessed lights. At first I found the short size obnoxious, but when I got to the 12/2 and the way I had to fish it, it would have been impossible with a longer stick size, so after that I was thankful they are shorter. I also used it in both instances with a snake camera that I taped to the end of the stick to help me find some hidden cables and look for cables before drilling blind holes.
