Happy with this purchase
I’ve used this about 5-6 times now and So far this is working out really well. I tried another brand from box giant and returned after one use. It was noisy and off balanced. The Husky is better balanced and MUCH quieter by comparison. I’m in a residential home with moderate amounts of trimming and this works great for that. Variable speed trigger lets me slow it down in tight spots and trimming up against hard stuff and super quiet in that half speed mode. Full speed still surprisingly quiet has plenty of power for average stuff. I’m sure battery usage will diminish over time but so far I’m able to do about an hour of trimming on what appears to be about 50% battery use. I consider this one a keeper

HUSQVARNA VS Makita XUX02SM1X3 with blower attachment
Husqvarna WeedEater 320iL -vs- Makita XUX02SM1X3 w/ Blower Attachment. This Husqvarna is AWESOME !!! I purchased this Husqvarna and the Makita XUX02SM1X3 direct from Amazon and NOT a 3rd party seller. So both were sold by and shipped from Amazon. Both were comparable in price and voltage and amps are identical and both have two speeds. This review is based on a first time single use and the specific two weed eaters units that I received and also my first experience with battery powered weed eaters.I used the Husqvarna first and was immediately impressed by how smooth and powerful it was. The Husqvarna also has a wider area of cut than the Makita and also on the you can reverse the rotation of the head which is a nice feature in certain applications EX. if you are weed eating around cars or people or if you like, or need to, change your direction of walk foreword or backward. The "bump head" on the Husqvarna is also a little wide and flat which allows it to "glide" easier over the ground because it stays level much better that the Makita which has a more conventional smaller rounded bump head which seems to cause it to slightly tilt if you hit an uneven spot in the ground from something like a mole mound. So then I went to the back yard to test the Makita and immediately saw the difference in power. I only used the Makita for about 5 minutes because I was so impressed with the Husqvarna. The Makita just does not have the power as the Husqvarna. I'm not saying the Makita is a bad wee weed eater, its just not, in my opinion, in any way comparable to the Husqvarna. I do however really like the Makita blower attachment because its just fun to use but the Husqvarna IS BETTER HANDS DOWN with the task of weed-eating!I have an average size yard and I was able to get it all done on one charge. I was just so impressed by this weedeater that I was weedeating areas that I normally use my mower on - its just fun to use!

Quiet as a Whisper, Easier than Gas!
The Husqvarna Weed Eater is super easy to use and made trimming my yard a cinch. I couldn’t believe the power with such a quiet sound especially being a long time gas trimmer person. I use to wear ear muffs when using my gas trimmer, but now I power up and go. The ability to reverse the head on the trimmer came in handy when I was edging my lawn. The position of the guard and ability to change the head direction kept my shoes grass free. I use to be covered in grass when using my old gas trimmer. I easily finished trimming my yard without making a dent in the battery charge. The Husqvarna Weed Eater is a high performing product with a premium look! Since I already had a Husqvarna battery I use with my Husqvarna Leaf Blaster, the cost to add the Weed Eater was a no brainer.

Weak under powered junk.
Its cheaper to get a tool with a battery than to buy just a battery. Both the blower and the weed eater are underpowered. The blower was given to me with a bad battery. Now I want to return this kit and throw the blower away. The blower was the reason I got this. Both tools are nearly useless. One the fence cuz the blower that was given to me was also new in the box, but the battery was so old it was dead. The battery in this new unit is also 7 years old. The battery on the blower is 8 years old. So regardless of what you think of my experience you may want to look at the date on the battery of the unit you get.I am comparing my experience with dewalt and ryobi versions of this tool. Both brands perform far superior.

Battery power. No more difficult pull start.
It’s a little heavy but that’s the current state of battery technology. I’m sure they will improve. No liquid fuels to have to go out to replenish or have danger of fire. Finally, I have a hearing impairment that cause loud sounds to be painful. This trimmer is quiet.
