It’s good. I had a CMC joint surgery and trapeze bone removal. This is very painful and it’s helping me. I used a lot of ice after surgery and now my swollen it’s gone but the pain it’s bad and this gloves help a lot

I am a big fan of this! For those saying it doesn't last long... that's true BUT you're only supposed to do heat and ice for 10-20 minutes anyway! Google it! I would say it stays hot and cold for that time for the most part. 20 is probably stretching it, especially for the heat. It is super comfortable with the gel and material. I can still type and be on my phone with it on. It's a decent compression feeling even if the heat/cold is gone. It gets cold enough in the freezer pretty quickly. Definitely enough time for the hour break in between sessions that you should take. The only complaints are: *the thumb part gets REALLY hot. Hotter than the rest. So I can't really put my thumb in it at the start. (Which that area is what needs it the most, but it still gets it fairly well.) and *I wish it went down further to get more of my wrist, which is what also hurt during this stint of arthritis. Definitely say to give this a try! It looks much more comfortable than the other options, and I'm so glad I tried it!

Sitting at computer full time and getting old, my wrist and thumb get inflamed AND also sciatica pain. This was too cold for my hand when I took it out of the freezer sooo yes, I put snug bike shorts on and put it where the pain was. Stayed put even when walking around. If you deal with back pain you know you can't really be mobile with large bulky cold packs or heating pad cords. After 15 minutes in my pants 😂, it was perfect temp inside for my hand. The degree of cold tolerance may depend on your injury, for me it was ideal. I leave it on for extended periods while working. The cushion helps my wrist and the gel has a cooling effect. I did turn it inside out as another reviewer suggested, definitely made it more comfortable.

I really, really love this. I've read many reviews, and like most gel ice/heat packs, the results are mixed about how long it stays hot/cold. Personally, I've decided that the reason for the vast range of experiences has to do with someone's expectations. I have tried both the heat (microwave) and the cold (ice pack) & both work well. I do find that I have to remove it about every 8 minutes or so and pop it back in the microwave for about 1-15 seconds but it is super easy to do. (I use this for an arthritic thumb & use the heat when I apply castor oil to the area to have it penetrate deeper. For this purpose, I try to keep it under the warmth/heat for about an hour. I am still experimenting but the products design lends itself perfectly for me to have the castor oil pack stay securely in place; this is a hard part of the body to treat, so I am very grateful I found this). Sizing: I read many reviews about it being too large (not many of it being too tight - well, not that I recall). I went with a snugger fit and am happy I did - I think this is the one that provided a measurement tool, and I was technically borderline so went with the small). IF this wasn't snug or close to it, I don't think it will work well. I highly recommend for anyone who is not too tied up in the "doesn't stay hot/cold long enough" as to re-heat is easy. And I only used the cold one time so far, and I think the cold stayed cold for longer than the heat stayed hot. p.s. I also love the fact that the heat is a moist heat - so much better than a dry heat produced by like an electric heating pad.

I’ve used it for a couple weeks and here’s the rundown. ICING: You’re supposed to put it in the freezer for 2 hours before using for icing, it doesn’t get crunchy or the painful coldness of standard ice packs. It being in a glove form is very convenient, I have tendonitis that requires frequent icing and I can do my physical therapy exercises with it on. It really only stays cold for 20 minutes tops so not good for long icing, but good for my purposes. HEATING: You’re supposed to put it in the microwave for 30 sec bursts till it warms up enough. It goes from blazing hot to neutral in about 10 minutes so there’s really only about 5 mins of comfortable heating at a time. I prefer just heating up a wet towel for heat instead. Overall, I only heat my wrist 1x/day so I don’t really use it for that. I ice my wrist 3-5x/day and it’s great for that, if you only need it for the heat you can skip this one.

Purchased for wrist and lower thumb joint. Handy to leave in freezer and then wear for a few minutes at a time doing other things, rather than stuck in a chair applying an ice pack. The strap helps compress as well. Worth the money.

The wrap fit well and was very comfortable. I needed it for severe arthritis in my thumb. The real problem with this unit is that it gets almost too hot after 20 seconds in the microwave and then only stays warm for about 5 min. I was hoping for something that would stay warm for at least 20-30 minutes so I was very disappointed. If I knew how quickly it cooled off, I wouldn't have ordered it.
