Great size fire extinguisher and should always have at least one on hand, mounted and ready to go. I like to have them by the doors so if you are outside and you see something you don't get tempted to pass by a fire to grab an extinguisher. Note that these are 10BC units. There is no A rating. That doesn't mean it can't put out an A rated fire (papers, wood, etc), it just means it doesn't compare well with water and would not do as well as 1.25 gallons of water. If it had a 1A rating, that would mean it does the equivalent of 1.25 gallons of water. In this case it doesn't. It is designed for use in the garage or on a boat (it is rated for boat use).

I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: Because a Fire Extinguisher really can not be reviewed properly until it's used and you can see if it works or not, I will keep this short. It arrived as promised. It looks good, appears to be made well and I will trust it to work in an emergency. Because I read other reviews, i will comment on the negatives I've seen. Two main negatives are that it arrived empty, sometimes having sprayed out on the trip in the delivery process or it arrived already too low to use. In my case, it arrived perfectly. The box it comes in has cardboard positioners to prevent it from getting hit and having the pin fall out and spraying in the delivery box. Mine arrived in great shape and ready to go. Great size for the boat

I'm leaving 4 star, only because I have not had to test it out yet. But it's am essential tool for any small room that has risk. Fits secured in a known place. Seems to be a good choice in terms of money and function. If the need comes, this thing will come out fast. Pull the pin and you're set up. It doesn't take batteries, the review is asking about that lol. I'll probably get a second one eventually.

Seems high quality, hopefully never have to find out just how good/bad it is.
