No complaints for the price
I'll start with I have essentially no welding skills whatsoever. I mig'd a bit in highschool 20 years ago, that's about it. So I don't think I can blame the quality of the welds on the machine. Maybe the rods. But the machine worked well. It was easy to put together and get started. It's incredibly light weight and was comfortable to throw over my shoulder with the strap it came with. I was fixing a crack and welding two quarter inch plates together. It had more than enough power to weld them. I was using around 200 amps. It never triggered any duty cycle that stopped the welding, though I did trip the breaker in the garage once. The rods didn't go very far. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if its the quality, or just the wrong size rod for the job. Either way, you'll want to order extra right away. The arc started easy enough, but I also took time to prep the material first, so that may have helped. Overall I'm happy with the purchase after the first use. I'll update if my opinion changes on it after using it more.

Good value for the price
I am a DIYer and picked this up for doing simple repairs and projects around the house. I have never welded before but had some furniture that needed some joints repaired. This is simple to use and after watching a couple of YouTube videos I made my first weld. It worked well and after some practice definitely feel comfortable working with it. I found I enjoyed welding so looking to purchase some better equipment in the future for larger projects but this works well for patio furniture repair and repairing some tools. Good value for the price.

Main function ceased after 6 seconds!
First of all, the instruction manual was only a few pages of THE WORST translated english I have ever read. It was practically nonsense. Normally I could care less about that, however, after only about 2 minutes of being powered on, and after literally only executing 2 very brief spot welds as a test, this welder stopped functioning as a welder. The unit still had power. The display still showed the power level, and the cooling fan was still running, but weld it would not. I didn't even set the power to more than 160. So I powered the unit off. Checked all the connections. Waited a few minutes.. and nothing. It literally gave up the ghost after a maximum of 6 seconds of total welding time. It is now nothing more than a fancy looking box with a cooling fan and a digital display that shows a number that no longer has any meaning. The manual doesn't even have a troubleshooting section... and even if it did.. it wouldn't make any freaking sense anyway. This thing sucks ass!! I would give it no stars for killing what little joy I temporarily felt.. but that is not an option. Don't waste your money!
