Functional and a great value.
Surprisingly versatile and well made. I am not going to use this as a cleaver for cutting through bone, and honestly am not sure if it will. I cook a lot of vegetarian dishes with some meat and this is perfect for me. It's nicely constructed, but the cut out under the handle needs to be better finished because it's almost abrasive. I still give it five stars because of the functionality and overall design *for the price.* Normally I have a pair of chef knives and assorted other cutting tools. This will easily replace all of those (for my cooking style.) In fact, this, a smaller mezzaluna for mincing herbs, and a bread knife are all I truly need, so based on this knife I am going to greatly downsize my knife collection. One final note: not all stainless steel will stick to a magnetic. This one will, which (to me) is a major plus because I store my knives in a magnetic board.

Best knife for hypermobility & arthritis
Everyone should own a knife in this style. So much more comfortable to hold. Great for arthritis or hypermobility. Chop is so satisfying. Scoops everything you just chopped. Cuts pizza so well our pizza cutter is rarely used now.

Needs a sheath.
4 stars only because it has no sheath. It really needs one. Also make sure your fingers are OUT of the way and don’t let your attention wonder when you use it. Worst cut I’ve had since I was like 8. LOL! Very sharp. I like to use it for cutting meat. Does a decent job on veggies too.

Product is easy to use, a little heavy in weight.
I'm very happy with the purchase of this knife it's heavy it's good as it fits in your hand comfortably. Because it's a little bit heavier than a regular knife it's tends to assist with the cutting of vegetables and meat. I would recommend this product.

A real "EYE-CATCHER".
I've had people come into my kitchen, and before too long exclaim, "What the "heck" is that?!" It's sleek, well-constructed, and SHARP! (In more ways than one) Many like this unique ulu-inspired cleaver more than the actual Damascus-blade ulus on the magnet right next to them. (Note the 3 pics. I had to get creative with the lighting to show off that gorgeous wood grain.) When I say "unique", I am understating its visual impact. A beautiful multipurpose blade, which I wish I had found decades ago. SO versatile! If that's not enough, the handle is the most comfortable to hold and use in the whole room, hands-down. Just stay mindful of that big, razor-sharp blade!

A chopper, a hopper ... LOVE this versatile knife!
I love this thing. Bought it as a replacement for a similar knife that had a broken tip which I wasn't allowed to pitch. Caught her using this the other day. #winning

Was a little awkward at first but once you get the hang of it, great knife haven’t had to sharpen it yet I think I’ve had it for about a month now

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and got one of these to help reduce strain on my wrists in my kitchen job, and I love it. I made an adjustment to using it though - I turned it around and it significantly reduced the amount of work to cut vegetables. I have to be very careful with the tip of the knife when using it that way but HUGE improvement. I might just have to get one for at home too.

It's a solid cooking knife, takes a bit of getting used to having the blade under your wrist, but the ergonomics feel nice. Little pressure is needed for chopping but because of this, you need to be careful. Cleaning it is a bit awkward as there's no real way to safely clean it like a normal knife.
