I’ve tried multiple bird feeders and never was as happy as I am with these (I bought 2). Easy to fill, seed stays dry inside the tube, weathers well through several really bad storms. It’s not squirrel PROOF but it definitely makes the little rascals work at it lol. The perch’s are small enough to keep the annoying blackbirds off which is a huge plus. Recommend

Squirrels are very smart and determined, we had to move our poles out in the yard away from anything they can jump from and use baffles! Baffles are the best things to have keep squirrels out !!!

Not a hundred percent squirrel proof

I have been feeding birds for about 20 years now. They are generally not discriminating about the birdfeeders I use, as long as I have black oil sunflower seeds in the feeder. This birdfeeder has been up for a whole day, and not one bird at the feeder, and it was a lovely, sunny day. However, I have discovered that I have squirrels that have clearly taken strip-pole and/or trapeze lessons, that LOVE this squirrel-proof birdfeeder. I just moved it to an area where there are no bushes where my obviously talented squirrels can make a rather amazing flying leap over to the birdfeeder and hopefully, this will reduce the up-side-down gymnastics lessons they appear to be teaching to the younger, less-talented squirrels! LOL! It appears to be sturdy and well-made, all in all, however, I suspect with time, the bird perch bars will bend and come loose with my well-fed, chubby, trapeze-loving squirrels, so I am not sure how long it will last, honestly. Do you sell these parts separately BTW? I will update the feedback if moving the birdfeeder decreases the squirrel activity! Have a lovely day!

I have been using a window feeder. The birds and squirrels visit daily, and the cats are entertained by the visitors. Two issues have arisen from the window feeder. First, the squirrels devour the food rapidly, leaving scraps for the birds. And two, we recently had a mouse visit. So, I decided to change out the type of feeder and was looking for something that gave the birds more food. This feeder is absolutely NOT squirrel proof. But, it does slow them down significantly. They can climb from above and hold on upside down to get food. But it's easier for them to move the branch around and have some food spill onto the ground, then gobble it up. Now, the amount of food I usually go through in a few days will last several weeks. It doesn't completely solve the mouse problem, but it has helped. Since the amount of food dropped onto the ground is so little, the squirrels aren't leaving anything behind for the mouse. And the birds really flock to the feeder! The problem I'm having is that even using small pieces of crushed up bird food, the food gets stuck near the bottom of the container in about 1-2 days and then it doesn't fall down to the area the animals can get it. I'd like to speak with the seller and see if they have any ides on how to make this work. If they can help me, I'll update the rating.

I got this particular bird feeder to put out the very small Millet Seed. I am trying to attract the beautiful Painted Bunting. This feeder is great for the small Millet Seed. It was very easy to fill, and it looks great hanging from my shepherd's hook. It says in the description that it's squirrel proof. It has a wire spring around it and a metal top that makes it chew proof. It has 4 ports for the birds to feed from, and seems to be very well made, a good value for the money. I haven't spotted a Painted Bunting yet, but my other back yard feathered friends are sure using it. I am pleased with my purchase.

I have several feeders. The squirrels can get to all of them,but this is the hardest, and they have given up. The birds prefer this feeder as well. Carolina wrestling, house sparrows, house finches, juncos, chickadees, all feed on it.

Not squirrel proof but sure is bird proof! I can’t get a bird to eat anything from it ! Waste of money!thebspring idea is interesting but not functional! Squirrels still get to the food and birds are afraid of it or figure it’s too hard to get at the seed thru the small ports and difficult to balance on wire perches! Very disappointing also not water resistant , rain pours right into the feed holes at the bottom and then the seed gets wet and blocks the holes! Sorry , but total waste of money gonna return it
