I've been using the Kit every week and it's been a fantastic family activity, especially with my two kids. We usually buy all the ingredients from our local Uwajimaya store, which adds to the authentic experience. The kit is easy to use, even for beginners, and the results are always delicious. Originally shopping for a musubi mold and spam slicer and came across this all in one kit. I was hoping for an easier way to make maki and nigiri as well as musubi. Well, there’s a reason why mats and your hands have been used forever. It’s about the right compaction and ratio of rice to filling or fish. Both the Nigri and maki molds are too big, you can’t compress the rice or the Nori enough to make it stay together. If you try to fill the mold more the Nori won’t overlap. If you do somehow get your role to stay together it’s way too big of bite and fall apart. If you know what I mean. I didn’t use the musubi mold or slicer and returning this is a pain!

I love how easy it is to make perfect variety of sushi. Now I can confidently make sushi for my kids for lunch and even for sushi dinner party. My kids also love to use this to help with sushi making. Strongly recommend !
