HOLACAStand for Nest Learning Thermostat, Holder for Nest Thermostat 3rd/2nd Generation (White)

I have had a netatmo for years and it gave up the ghost last month, I decided to go for nest as the tech inside is rather good.It doesn't disappoint! It's self learning after 2 weeks of use is great, it continues to learn your needs based on your use and regulates your heating without you needing to think about it.The geofence is a good touch aswell, you can add more than 1 phone to it so it knows when no one is home and turns down accordingly.The only slight blip in an otherwise great little device is the fact it is not completely wireless as this needs a 5v supply at all times to be able to work . . . . .so be mindful that you will need a plug socket or USB socket close by.If you intend to install this yourself then you will need YouTube as the instruction booklet only gives you the wiring diagram and not much else.

Our second Nest Thermostat device. We find that it works great with the flexibility of remotely controlling both the central heating and hot water from any location in the world (long as we have a signal).It saves us money by the fact that we can override the schedule when we are not there ie we can switch it off when we don’t require the heating or water to come on.Gave it only 4 stars for value for money, it’s a bit expensive to buy and install.

This stand is simple enough to set-up and best done from the outset, before you put the Next thermostat together, unlike mine. The reason being that you need to be able to attach it to the stand prior to putting the front screen onto the other parts.For me, I has to remove the black plate on the rear, unscrewing the 4 x tiny screws, and then pop out the inner part (circuit board + white docking part). There are 4 very small clips around the perimeter which need to be released. It is a little tricky.Then thread the Micro-USB power cable through the stand and place the black back plate from the Nest onto the back on the stand. Take the circuit board and place that on top off the back plate, attaching power cable at the same time. Place the final white inner piece over the circuit board and use 2 of the 3 supplied screws to attach it, the circuit board and black back plate to the stand. Having done that, you just push the screen part back onto it. Underneath the stand there is a channel for the cable to be pushed into so that the stand will sit flat.The underneath has a rubberised pad to help keep it in place when you are using it and the stand has a little weight to it as well, although I think it could do with a bit more.It’s decent enough quality for what you are paying and considerably cheaper than the official one.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. We have the Nest 3rd Gen in black and needed a stand. It appears Google only offer it in white which is a bit of a rookie error seeing as they offer the Nest in a few shades. So we took a look at this instead, and after reading some reviews we thought it was worth a shot. I have to admit it's absolutely perfect and goes perfectly with the black Nest. It is really well made and not some cheap 3D-printed plastic, it really could be an original Google offering. Super simple to screw in and set up. As others have said, run the Micro USB cable in first, then attach it all and screw it in, and you're away to the races! Love it.

Really pleased with this item. Quality seems just as good as the Nest stand at a considerably cheaper price. Also it was available in black.

Works reliably until it dies (we’ve had 3!)

It’s just a bit of plastic with some screw holesI know it says it doesn’t come with the charger when you look properly.But like most people I just saw what I thought was a charging stand and bought it.

Item as described. Easy to install with a Nest 3rg gen. No problem with putting through USB-C cable for power. Looks as per listing. Price is competitive with other similar products, but would not say it's cheap for a bit of plastic.
