I ordered this to make a faux stained glass window in a plain transom window over our front door in an old Manse house. It cuts easily with heavy duty scissors, applies quick and easy. It is softer than I expected, but once I got the hang of keeping the strips straight it was an easy process to install. Really helps to have the boning tool in the package to ensure the overlaps and seams join, love that it was included. We liked the look of the product so much, that I tried out putting diamonds on a solitary front window, and now I am hooked! I have to order more to do all the front windows! (The templates are very helpful as well!). We have had it up on windows for a couple months now and it is staying adhered with no issues at all, even in spite of frequent rain (Scotland). Starting to patina and age as well and LOVE the look! I have ordered from them 3 times via Amazon and will continue to buy through them. I wish i could order in bulk though, as the rolls don't last as long as you would think (at least not on our rather large windows).

Why did you choose this product over others?: Be aware of what width size would be best for the job you are doing. This makes all the difference to the overall finish.

This lead strip was to replace a short length of about 10cm (4") that had been partially removed when the windows were cleaned. When this has happened in the past I simply used epoxy glue to stick the piece of lead back on but its messy and difficult not to get glue where it will show and also the strip of lead was distorted and never looked as good as it was before. I therefore purchased this lead strip although it's far longer than I needed. It was a perfect match, easy to apply and looks much better than trying to re-glue the original. I might even try removing the previously damaged sections and replace them with this new strip. Although longer than required it's not expensive and I've got plenty to use for when it's needed again. The lead strip arrived well packaged and a few days before the expected delivery date. It was also quite easy to apply with the included plastic tool and I can recommend it. I went for the natural silver colour because I expect it to tarnish to the same shade of grey that the original lead is, I wasn't sure that if I had ordered the antique colour whether it would be darker. I've only just applied it so I don't know for sure how it will stand up to wet weather (and window cleaners) but it sticks quite well and I have every confidence that it will be fine. In the attached photo the new section of lead is on the left. Update 20-10-2018: Since writing my review it has rained quite hard, the window cleaner has been and the lead strip has withstood them both so I'm very satisfied with the product and can recommend it.

Excellent quality. However it claimed to be 5 metres in length and was only 3 metres which meant I ran out and had to re-order. Thus, I have issues with the seller for a misleading description. Disappointing.

Really pleased with this product. Arrived on time. I have a half glass and half wooden door which I was hoping to do something with and suddenly thought about a lead pattern. It took no time at all to stick on but I would work out some sort of pattern first. Of course make sure you have enough to finish said pattern unlike myself and have had to send for more! When I do finish, I intend to also use gallery glass on the door which I have in all sorts of colours. On the whole, I would recommend this product and can't wait to see it completed. UPDATE Finally finished my door window and it looks brilliant. The second delivery arrived on due date, started my project Immediately. I have already added the clear gallery glass and made a pattern and it is so easy, looks really professional (even if I say so myself). You will. It be disappointed.
