Luo Han is another root added to the stevia. I have tried straight stevia and it can be bitter. I LOVE this combination because the luo han cuts the bitterness of the stevia. One packet in my coffee is all I need. It's great with ricotta, unsweetened cocoa and a little vanilla flavoring for a lowfat snack, too.

Does this product have maltodextrin or dextrose in it?

That equates to ~22% of a single packet is actual natural sweetener derived, and the rest of the packet (>75%) is synthetic Maltodextrin, Inulin, and Calcium Silicate based filler. With Maltodextrin having a glycemic index of anywhere from 85 - 105 (pure sugar is 100), that makes this sweetener a solid candidate for being false advertising unless the manufacturer starts being more transparent.
