Smarter rooms, great invention!
Oh my God, I really needed this for several stuff I use in my bedroom. It works as described, instructions are easy and concise; and it is a game changer. I hope the battery lasts a long time, and that the product quality survives years. The remote is simple as long as you remember which button is paired with whatever electronic. I know I will save on energy bills simply by being able to switch things off easily when falling asleep. I have no clue how much energy the adapter consumes, but as long as it is not ON, I think it does not consume anything.

Works perfectly, highly recommended
These are well made and work perfectly without any problems. They are very easy to link up, as all you have to do is hold the pairing button on the side of the plug for a few seconds it will then start flashing red, you then just press whatever button you want to link it to on the remote control, it’s that easy. It operates over a great distance too, from one side of a room to the other, highly recommended.

Very good (and can be inserted side by side in an extension block)
Easy to setup and work very well. I did have an issue where two of the sockets were responding to the same button, but that was easily solved by a reset (which is mentioned in the instructions). These units can also be inserted side by side in an extension block, where other types I had could not. Only criticism is that the controller and the buttons are smooth, not too easy to feel the buttons if you happen to be in the dark.

Work well but I’d like a longer wireless range
These work well but the wireless range is not quite as good as another older set which I already had - sometimes I have to point more precisely at the receiver and occasionally need to press the button a couple of times

Simple, Reliable, and Incredibly Handy – Remote Plugs That Just Work
I’ve been using remote control plug sockets for years — for everything from switching on the Christmas tree lights to controlling my vacuum extractor while working on site. In fact, it was that very setup — using a remote-controlled plug to operate my extractor — that caught Peter Jones’ attention when I appeared on Dragons’ Den, ultimately leading to his investment in my xtra hand product. So yes, I’m a big believer in practical convenience — and these particular plugs deliver exactly that. This set comes with three sockets and a single remote, and honestly, setup couldn’t be easier. Just plug them in, hold the pairing button, and each socket syncs up with the remote in seconds. No complicated instructions, no Wi-Fi setup, just instant functionality. I’ve been using this set for nearly a year now, and it’s been faultless. The remote battery is still going strong, and the signal range is impressive — I’ve triggered sockets from over 30 feet away without any issues. Each plug has a small indicator light on the side, so you can see at a glance when power is on, which is a really handy touch. What I really appreciate about these plugs is their reliability. I’ve owned several sets over the years, and not one has failed on me. They’re simple, sturdy, and save time and hassle. I even gave a set to my mum when she was unwell, and she found them a real help around the house — proof that they’re as useful for convenience as they are for accessibility. For me, these are one of those small, inexpensive gadgets that make everyday life just a little easier. If you want a no-fuss way to control your devices at the touch of a button, I can’t recommend these highly enough.

Excellent inexpensive total solution
Excellent, inexpensive, and internet/app free solution to kitchen down lighting. I refitted my kitchen with three banks of 30cm long LED strip lights. I joined 5 LED units for down lighting and 2 banks of 4 LED units for glass fronted cupboard lighting. Each bank went to a central hub which I then led off to a dedicated concealed plug socket already used for the role. Simply attaching these plug sockets and setting the remote gave me control over each of these three lighting banks. One bonus feature, I was able to set each bank of lights to one of three on/off buttons on the remote. This left me a fourth on/off channel which I set all three sockets to. Now I can switch on a single bank by using the socket button, the remote AND turn all on and off also using a single button on the remote The second bonus is that the remote used a CR2032 battery, not the difficult to source Chinese specials of other remotes I’ve had. Why I chose this remote socket set ———————————————— All electrical solutions I researched required a qualified electrician, at least a day of work, and expensive equipment. The equipment and work was specialised and complicated. Also, many came with IoT options. I do not want nor need IoT and a phone app to control my lighting. I also don’t want expensive and complicated solutions to simply turn on and off lights. That is where these remote controlled sockets come in. I paid £15 to get a full control solution that fully meets my needs. The closest ‘professional’ alternative I found was over £500 fitted by an electrician! Hope this helps someone make a decision either way.
