I like this Miracle-Gro tree and shrubs plant food. It works well, slow release and No mess no smell. It is easy to use. No harms.

I have used these spikes for years and I really like the job they do, but if you have any arthritis or tendonitis, go easy with the hammer and caps. It would be much better, if your ground is even slightly hard like ours was, to make the spike hole first and drop the spike in. We tried pounding the spikes in using a hammer and cap, and the spikes either broke into chunks or disintegrated, and the caps fell apart. And the hammering hurts me. Our shrubs really exploded with new growth after using the spikes in early spring and then watering, and getting rains. Update: Our viburnum are now the size of trees, easily as tall as our house, and the best part is they separate us from our next door neighbors and their windows, with lovely privacy and cover for the birds and their nests. Our ligustrum are now taller than the six foot privacy fence. And the sunshine ligustrum are nearly 8 feet!! Special Note: I only use half the spikes they recommend. It is too easy to burn up shrubs and trees, The other product I use every year is Bayer Tree and Shrub Feed and Protect. The viburnum need it or they get buggy. It took years to get rid of their last white fly infestation. Good air circulation is also a must around shrubs, so we have to keep space between the shrubs and the privacy fence.

My privacy trees are on property line and I always start them off with a boost and growth is noticeable in just a week or so.they feel out and look so healthy. And I root a couple each year off best ones and always take to growing.

I use them every Spring and Fall. Ordering them from Amazon means I don't have to battle the chaos of shopping.

I've used this product before and it worked great. The trees are growing and the one that was not doing well came back. I'm giving it 3 stars because they used to come with a red rubberized cap to hammer the stakes in, now it comes with 2 hard plastic caps. The new caps don't fit the spikes and when you hammer them in they are stuck to the spike. i hope they go back to the old style cap before I have to order again.

When I'm lazy I use these spikes. They are also safer than dumping granular fertilizer which can burn plant roots if you don't water it in well enough---I virtually never use granular anymore after killing two fruit trees. It is spikes or liquid that I can mix into water and then pour onto the root zone. (I usually error on the side of "too dilute" because of my plant PTSD.) These spikes just dissolve slowly with watering. I like everything MIracle-Gro, but I use a lot of other products, too---for my touchy plants.

Great little kit for feeding my trees and plants. Food gets down to the roots rather than sitting in the soil. Will re: review after I see the/ any results but at this stage everything is looking good.

Grow very fast

Have purchased Miracle-Gro tree spikes multiple times in the past. 1st time purchasing organic. I guess organic is better. Previously same brand tree spikes my trees thanked me all season with extra growth and luxuriant greens. (Watering helps too.) As it is autumn, it is much too soon to say how much my trees will like these spikes. However, the raccoons think they are pretty awesome and have dug some of them up. (Because they smell so yummy?) It's not that big a deal, I covered them over again.

Zero affect. Actually my trees looking not good.
