does this work the other way around? RCA (out) to Aux (in)?

Never tried that but I wouldn’t believe so. Probably blow the “transistorized” equipment up. I always assumed it was only one way. (The earphone/earbud/output jacks say just that.)

What is the outside diameter of the 3.5 mm aluminum case? I would like to know if this cable will fit in my phone case.

The 3.5 mm plug is pretty standard for headphone plugs and works for external speakers . I believe this generally the intended use for this cable. It will likely fit a cell phone headphone plugs but I haven't used it in that way.

What's the length of these cables, 1 or 6.6 ft? description and specs say 2 different things. Thanks
