SINGER 04714 Size 90/14 Universal Machine Quilting Needles, 5-Count, White

fits in my machine, runs smoothly, nice & sharp, better price than local shopping.

I am using this size for a FMQ class I am taking. I have found the needles to be durable and it goes through the three layers easier.

Good standard Singer Srwing Needles nothing spectacular or special fits and sews well hoping for less breakage than the multipacks time will tell...

I had issues with my feed dogs "eating" my fabric. After watching some videos to trouble shoot, one presenter cautioned that only size 9 needles should be used for quilt making as they have a point that won't push the fabric into the feed dogs. I skeptically gave it a try and have only had the issue twice versus 20 or 30 times over the course of making one quilt with standard needle. They also have a colored mark on them to differentiate them from your other needles.
