I didn't receive the additional 2 springs with the box. Hence the 4 stars. Shouldn't be an issue because I was planning on using the pre-installed 25lbs anyways. However the product is of better quality. Recommended.

I bought this tamper a little while back and I’ve been really happy with it. Solidly made, has a nice tactile response, though not the one that clicks when you reach the bottom. Not sure if the black coating does all that it claims to, as I tends to twist the tamper after pressing and releasing, and that usually clears off most of the grinds. Plus, I spray a bit of water on the beans before grinding, so I don’t think there is as much static as there would be otherwise. Still, never have issues with static on the base! Only thing is that once in a while, you have to clean between the base plate and the upper levelling plate, but rarely.
