I bought this phone for my father, as his previous one had been dropped. He was 94 at the time, and whilst he thoroughly enjoyed speaking to family on it, he would not have been able to manage anything more complex. This phone provided him with the ability to make and receive calls and texts although he rarely used that facility. We were able to set up an emergency alert within the family circle if he had pressed the emergency button and it also enable us contact him if we visited and he had gone out for a drive. It is a flip design and requires the pressing of buttons as opposed to touching any screens. It has a sound button on the side which probably is the only feature which perhaps could have been thought out more. Due to it's compact size, inevitably ones fingers would inadvertently lower the sound and it was a little difficult then trying to explain over the phone how to increase the volume. Other than that, Dad was happy with it and it put the family's mind at ease him having it. The screen is small but it is clear enough to see who is ringing and for Dad, he was happy with that.

I purchased this phone for my Mum - she's mid-eighties and has Parkinson's, so an easy-to-use phone is vital. The buttons are much larger than on her previous phone, and the contrast of white numbers on black buttons on a white background is ideal for those with limited dexterity and reduced eyesight. The colour screen is bright and sharp. When closed the phone is small enough to fit in a pocket, but when opened the screen size gives a really good display, sufficient even to cope when the enlarged text is selected. Mum particularly likes the clam-shell style as she is worried about accidentally activating the phone and doesn't want the hassle of using a screen lock. I set the phone up for her and had only one difficulty - the alert function is buried in the settings menu and took a while to locate. This alert function is one of the key reasons this particular model was chosen and will give me additional peace of mind now it's set up and tested - it will not replace the lifeline alarm installed in Mum's home, but it will provide extra help if she's out and about. The alarm function can only be set for one time each day, and Mum needs multiple alarms so she knows when to take her medication (timing is REALLY important for Parkinson's meds), but we got round that by setting the alarm once and using the daily reminder functions for the other times. The short cut keys for quick dial, camera and text messages are useful, although I'm not sure Mum will remember them as they are a new feature for her. My biggest worry about the phone was that it needed a micro SIM and Mum's existing one was a standard size. Having watched multiple YouTube videos and armed with the template I downloaded, I prepared to cut down the existing SIM. I was pleasantly surprised to find that no complicated marking or cutting was required - the existing SIM had been pre-cut and the micro SIM could be simply pressed out of the standard SIM and slotted into the appropriate holder in the phone (thank you EE!). The phone was delivered to me exactly in line with the estimated delivery times - I was kept well informed about delivery, and based on this experience I would be happy to use this supplier again.

I bought this for my husband who'd been struggling with my old Samsung Android mobile that would no longer hold a charge. This is a very simple phone, but has all that he needs, texts and camera. it was very easy to put his EE pay as you go sim card into the phone and everything transferred over to the new phone. Simple to set up and easy to use. Small, neat and light and the folding style keeps it protected. He is vey happy with it and actually takes it out with him, which he wasn't doing with the old one. I would recommend this for someone who is not tech savvy and just wants a basic phone with no frills.

Have this as a emergency phone for my wife. Easy to use, good volume and clear.

Mother-in-law, (80 years old), well she had a doro phone for a while and dropped it and it cracked where the hinge is, so was unrepairable. I checked on Amazon and saw this, which believe it or not is an upgraded model from the one that broke, but it was at a very good price. Now this phone for me, or for 90% of people would be far too basic, but for older people, maybe even with not so great sight these phones are great and fairly easy to use. She manages to call and text no problem but would struggle with anything more technical. So, do I think a nice IPhone or Android new model would be any good, not a chance, she would not be able to understand or use them at all. So if you know somebody that really can’t use their television properly but needs a phone to stay in touch then these are brilliant, I highly recommend them for people that you know would probably only use 1% of the functions of the latest smartphones, as probably they are not interested in the other 99% anyway.

Got this phone for my 86 year old father . Old people don’t like menus or extra buttons to press . If a wrong button is pressed , the dialed number is wrong , or user is stuck in a menu , there is no confusion on how to begin again . Just open and close the phone and you are back to the start position . This makes a huge difference in usability . The screen is very readable . I set Text to large and the color to black and white for extra clarity . The buttons are well spaced and glow when it is dark . Top marks .

Compré este teléfono hace 15 meses y de repente la pantalla no se ilumina. Llamo a un teléfono que viene en caso de incidencia. No para de hablar una máquina en un idioma extraño, no siquiera inglés. No sé a dónde llevar a reparar. Total!! En caso de incidencia hay desamparo con este móvil. Piénsenlo antes de comprarlo. Gracias
