Used this to dig out six post holes - done literally in ten minutes. Torque is more than enough, struggles a bit with heavy tree roots, but doesn’t break your wrist when it spins off. Just perfect for the job. Best way to use is to still a bit then pull out and go back in - that way it lifts the soil out of hole easily. Battery life good, nice and light to jump around. Added benefit of having two batteries and also bought the mortar stirrer. Very useful addition to the toolbox. Wish I’d bought it when I did the previous 50 stabs, would have saved myself days!!!!

Great product. Simple to operate and I drilled 14 holes in clay and rock soil with no problem all done within 30 mins. Great time saver. Be careful with the snatching when hitting roots or larger rocks.

The product is good and does what is supposed to do unless it encounters a stone or hard area and it goes no further, so you need to manually dig. Delivery was a let down as it did not arrive in time (got to me days later) and customer assistants, although they were nice on the phone, they could not work out where the product was and when it would get to me. Very disappointing and late delivery as it caused me various problems. Remember to buy the battery pack, which is separate. Without the battery you won't be able to use it.

I was looking for a wired version as didn’t think a battery one would be strong enough but it definitely is !!! I wouldn’t want anything stronger when you hit a root etc . It’s really making my life so much easier. Only thing that caught me out as I didn’t realise the battery was separate until it was delivered but even with the extra 40 quid it’s well worth it.

Don’t really do reviews but felt this warranted some words. After two petrol augers in a year ( cheap and good brand) both broke, and with numerous starting issues, I opted for battery. My concern was it would not be powerful in comparison with petrol but it’s fine. Applies power differently to petrol, more relentless but not as chaotic. Kick back is miles better than petrol when you crack a stone. Just done 100m of post and rail and it handled it no worries. Only issue, you need two of three batteries. I reckon 8-10 posts a charge. Here’s hoping it is more reliable than my petrol purchases. Only time will tell

This has been great in the garden this year since moving to a new build last autumn where there were no flowers or plants - just bare ground. I bought a shed load of shubs and trees since Easter and have been able to plant them all with ease using this auger. The ground is pretty rocky thanks to the poor topsoil provided by Redrow however that hasn't prevented this device from drilling quite deep to plant Laurel hedges, apple trees and a host of other plants a shrubs all around the perimeter of the garden with hardly a battery recharge required. I have the Einhell 18v 4Ah battery and charger for several other tools so the auger fits in perfectly with the set with the one battery sufficient for all (as with most Einhell power tools you just pay for the bare shell). The power of the motor from the 18v battery provides more than enough torque to drive the auger down through the ground and you have to have fairly strong arms and shoulders to control it when it goes deep - especially if you hit a rock or two on the way. As mentioned the one charge was sufficient for an afternoons work so I am well satisfied that I now have a half decent garden to enjoy for whatever weather this summer throws at us. All in all an excellent addition to my power tools as this has saved me so much time and effort.

Surprisingly powerful I've got 5amp batteries will dig around 5 to 6 holes in quite hard British ground dropped one star cos the handles really needed to be quite abit wider to give you more leverage feels abit like your holding a very powerful food mixer thing but it is good

Super outil, très puissant et efficace, le gros plus par rapport à un thermique c'est la "marche arrière" qui permet de se sortir d'un mauvais pas quand ça bloque. Attention aux "petits bras", en puissance maxi, on a vite fait de tourner avec la machine au vu de sa puissance 😂 Les batteries 4Ah permettent de faire bon nombre de trou pour de gros poteaux de clôture, au top. A compléter par une "vis" de plus faible diamètre, comme sur la photo.

Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass der Einhell Erdbohrer ein exzellentes Beispiel für Einhells Fähigkeit ist, hochwertige, leistungsfähige Werkzeuge zu entwickeln, die das Heimwerken nicht nur erleichtern, sondern auch bereichern. Für jeden, der auf der Suche nach einem zuverlässigen, kabellosen Erdbohrer ist, ist dieses Modell eine klare Empfehlung.
