Since getting our Ninja Foodi we don't use our oven as much and as we don't have a huge kitchen we tend to use it positioned on our hob, which means if we want to use our hob we have to make room for it so when I saw this to use in a microwave I thought it would be ideal for us. I must admit that when I saw microwave I presumed it would be quicker than using a pan but when it arrived and I read the instructions (I always read instructions as they make me smile when they are lost in translation as these slightly are) it's no quicker at all. I got these this so we didn't need to use the hob so the time factor isn't an issue for us. I like that this does everything, you cook in it and it has a built in strainer so these 1 less thing to wash. I love to try different things in the kitchen and must be a marketers dream as I fall for all the adverts, this item works for us, it hasn't made cooking spaghetti better or easier its just a different way to cook it.

Very disappointed

This is great useful product I really needed. Only issue it turned up well packaged but the lid was broken. As seen. It can be still used without the lid but I needed it to use so rather than faff with returns and buying another I kept it and it dose the job its supposed to and makes kids meal times so much easier

My kids love pasta!!! Sometimes they even want to cook it on their own, but they are both to little to cook on the hob. They can learn how to use the microwave though. The Pasta container has a good size and can cook up to four portions of pasta. It is made of good quality material and is easy to clean after use. We are very happy with the outcome and will use this new gadget a lot. What a great idea! We gladly recommend this product to you.

I’ve never been able to cook pasta in the microwave without the container boiling over until now. The first thing you need to be aware of is the size of the container. I have a large 26L microwave but the container gets stuck when the turntable turns. I found that putting a plate under the container solved this issue as it moves the spout over slightly. As you cook the pasta without the lid on, the condensation is really bad. It’s so bad, it actually drips out of the bottom of my microwave. It also takes longer than cooking pasta on the hob but it’s so much better than standing over the stove as you can just put this in the microwave and forget about it until it pings. It’s a shame that you don’t put the lid on for cooking but the lid is really good for draining the water without losing half of your pasta down the sink. The elephant design of the container is cute too. I love pasta and I’m having it more often now that I have this microwavable container. As long as you have a big microwave, I would recommend this container.

This is an excellent device if you do not have easy access to a hob. It is easy to use and works well to cook pasta - however it does not save any time over the hob and is a bit more fiddly, so if you have a hob I think you would find it easier to use a normal pan. But for anyone without a hob this is an excellent idea, good value for money and can be used for a lot of things besides pasta.

I thought my daughter would be over the moon about this, but it just didn’t seem to do it for her. She make macaroni cheese in the microwave at least once a week and I couldn’t wait for her to try this as it would save her keep changing th pasta from bowl to drainer and back, when the bowl is hot to touch, but to my surprise, she found it more of a hindrance to use than her usual bowl. We have a large microwave so it did fit but there’s were times when it wouldn’t be going round as it gets stuck and it’s so large to store when not in use. Great idea and cute looking but just not for us.

It is very expensive for what it is... basically a tupperware box with a drainage spout. It looks and feels like decent quality but 16.00 for a plastic tub is a LOT! Also it didn't turn out very well in use after all. If you have a standard microwave, like the majority of British home owners, this will not fit in your microwave. It is far to long. If you're lucky you could wedge it in there but then it wouldn't turn. I took this to work instead to make use of their indutrial office microwave. It fit okay but the cooking of the pasta was hit and miss. You are supposed to stir and move pasta in the water to ensure it is evenly cooked. In this I found there were some parts of the pasta overcooked and mushy, some parts cooked well, and the rest (mainly on the top) was undercooked and hard. You also have to cook the pasta for longer so this really has no benefit over cooking pasta on the hob. I've only given 3 stars because this has been handy to cook instant egg noodles in boiling water for easier drainage.
