My replacement filter started making noises, like hammering, did anyone have this problem?

Are you sure it is properly seated in the housing? The O-ring seals also hold it into place, so they must not be in crooked or askew when the housing is re-installed. If all looks good then I would replace the filter again and check "operation" if all is well then the filter cartridge is suspect.

What the difference between the white UF and the black UF fliter ?
