Great for teaching balance diet and portion sizes for kids
Used these in a healthy eating activity for children 5-10 yrs. They loved them and many adults were interested in purchasing. Great product.

NOT microwave safe. But useful.
My youngest daughter is borderline pre-diabetic and she has trouble gauging how much she should eat. This visual makes plating her meals easy and reminds her if she missed a category. She's doing very well with this! The knock of a star is due to it coming out of the box as a plastic plate that has the printed plastic film kind of bubbly and chippy on the surface. This is ONLY dishwasher safe (according to the bottom). It is NOT microwave safe. So my daughter just cooks her food and uses this for portioning. She washes it by hand too, just to be safe. If it can't do a microwave, I don't know how it could possibly survive a dishwasher with high heat settings.

Must have for portion control
If you’re trying to focus on portion control and eating a balanced diet, I highly recommend this. I struggle eating a balanced diet, specifically the correct number of fruits/veggies/starches/meat. This is a great tool to visually track your current diet, and make tweaks.
