10 stars on this.
This is my second one. The first one lasted exactly 4 years. It still runs but the original built-in rechargeable batteries are spent.I love the portability, the size and the fan works great! Both speeds are relatively quiet--so it's great for sleeping. The yellow color is bright so you won't miss it in the dark. Keep it charged up and it's quite the lifesaver during power outages. I'm glad to see this at a more reasonable price these days. I paid $40+ four years ago. I see they improved the switch too! That needed to be done, and it's easier to manage.

Battery Powered Cooling!!!
I have had and used this for several years now, both in the house and camping. It has a built in lithium battery, good for around four hours of fan time. I also keep 8 D cell 10mAh rechargable batteries in the battery bay. This will get you through a night on the high setting. When using the included ac adapter the fan will spin roughly 2-3 times the speed as when on battery (12v vs 4.2v). There is ample output from either, and the adjustable tilt makes the most of it. I have used it camping, and man was it nice on a humid night! One thing of note, while the internal litium ion battery will charge when you are using the included power brick to run the fan off AC power, it will NOT charge the rechargable cells in the battey bay...so you have to take them out, charge them in a charger, and put them back in.

Quiet, runs well on AC and external battery
Got this to move air around in my small RV. RV has air conditioning, but it’s LOUD. At night with cooler temps, this fan does the trick and is the quietest fan I’ve ever owned. Low speed on AC power is fine. Have used it with a 12 volt 50ah lithium battery that puts puts out 13 volts and it runs just as well as it does on AC. I don’t have a need to buy 8 D cells for the battery compartment- they cost as much as the fan itself - or run it on it’s internal rechargeable battery, as the internal battery is too small to be of any use.Only complaint: I store the 12v dc adapter in one of the battery compartments, but there’s not enough room in the other battery compartment to store the AC adapter. Would like to have a way to store both adapters in the fan so they don’t get lost.

Enough Noise for Sleeping; Tilts; Rechargeable Batteries; USB Port
I need a fan that makes some noise in order to sleep at night. This one is perfect. I've had a few of these models over the years. This one has some bonuses that previous models did not have. The rechargeable batteries do work; however, the fan speed decreases when you cut the electricity. I've only used the rechargeable batteries once but the fan kept running for at least the four hours I needed it to run (would have run longer). I've used the USB charging port and it works well; yet it seems like it's more of a trickle than a full throttle charge. So far love the two fans I bought. The fans were cheaper than other similar models, maybe because of the yellow??? Not sure but the yellow is fine by me especially for the price savings. Happy with this purchase.

Great fan with features and I love that it is orange!
This fan is bigger than I wanted, but it is very lightweight, unless you want to use 8 D batteries! You can plug it in, use it while charging, run it on 8 D batteries, or run it on the rechargeable internal battery. Don’t have to take them out to charge. Well you can’t anyway! It has a long cord and you can take it almost anywhere. If your phone’s battery is running low, you can use its charge to charge your phone. However, it won’t completely charge your phone and your fan will be out of charge. But good for emergency.

These have Ni-Mh batteries don't buy
Picked up from post office 5-13-2024 at 1:30 PM MST. Connectedto a 12 volt DC source and ran from 2 PM until about 9:30 PM MST on low speed. Both indicated no problems and moved slide switch to stop to complete recommend 12 hour charge. On 5-14-2024 turned on at 10 AM MST and noticed at noon time both were running on battery.Got to checking and found wiring on one had melted starting where it plugs into the fan. Removed wiring and found it badly melted and shorted.1 no longer charges, ooops it just started charging. They other seems to charge fine and both run fine on 12 volt dc.These are not my still working 12 year old O2 Cool fans. Stay with the older model.

Fine in every way except battery
Works great when plugged in, it has good airflow and makes a pleasing sound. It's easy to move around being very light, and the tiltability is very useful. However, the battery doesn't hold much charge and when it's on battery power only, the fan speed is noticeably reduced to a point where the highest setting is just barely adequate. So if you're going to use this mostly when plugged in, it's fine; but for battery powered operation I think it's unlikely to be very satisftying.

Perfect
Everything is perfect flow performance charging versatility. I take this in our RV, the handle on top can be hung on a hook in my RV window to bring cool air inside. AC/DC batteries and charger are all options. I generally plug into my cigarette lighter DC plug to keep it running during the hot time of the day. Ya don't need ac til it gets real hot when you have this. This is my 2nd one so we each have a personal fan. It helps with my hot flashes that have been insane due to Cancer meds and when the storms come in and power goes out at home, this is a life saver. A neighbor had a fire and they shut our power off for hours in the middle of the summer. Get this fan, you never know when you'll need it.
