Beware of the Quality and Service of Mondopad Products
Our firm bought the 55” Mondopad. We continually experienced problems with the connection of the CPU to the unit - even after we replaced the CPU within 18 months of purchase. Roughly 3 years following the Mondopad’s purchase (and, of course, outside the warranty period), the CPU completely failed. After attempting to diagnose the problem over the phone, In Focus charged us $600.00 for parts and arranged to send a local repairperson to install them. The repairperson installed those parts, but they failed to repair the problem - it fact, they made the problem worse. On top of that, In Focus acknowledged they overcharged us for the parts by $100.00. I spoke to a manager at InFocus, who said he would help us find a solution to our problem and refund our $100 - several weeks later, I’m still waiting for one of those promises to be kept. We spent over $10,000 for the Mondopad....one would expect it to be engineered to last longer than 3 years...and for service to be more effective, or at least more responsive, than we’ve seen. I have not used this specific product, but if it is anything like the 55” wall mounted version we bought, then my advice is to steer clear of InFocus and do business with their rivals who know better how to engineer and service their products.
